Eva Carneiro leaves Chelsea

If she gets herself a decent lawyer she could take serious cash off Chelsea here. Big high profile case like that I 'd imagine there'll be a few queuing up to take her case on.
 
Her position was untenable. There was no way she could return and work at their club after such a public demotion.
 
She should definitely sue the club. There wasn't an apology coming from their end when clearly what happened with her was grossly unfair. I hope they have to shell out a huge amount as compensation.
 
Pretty clear example of constructive dismissal I'd guess.
 
She obviously was having an affair with Hazard. He's been shit all season.

It'd have been a total sideshow, clusterfeck for the season if she came back (which i doubt she has any real appetite for, who would?)

And people want her here because?
We'd have to replace or fire our current team doctor to get her in just to ride the 'we have a woman working for us, aren't we great' gravy train to its embarrassing end,
which i find far more distasteful than a boss being a dick to someone

She was in her rights as a doctor. Hope she takes Jose and the club to the cleaners.

Okay the sexism out of the way. Hope she finds a new spot in football if that is what she wants. Was dumb of the club to treat her so poorly, perhaps a lawsuit would be correct

The club made her position untenable while she hadn't done anything wrong. They publicly demoted her. Even if it was private, it wouldn't matter. She has more than enough reasons to sue. There have been many reports that club officials are uneasy about the situation but any effort to support her or apologise undermine Mourinho.
 
As a Doctor though it's not just about the money, what Jose did was really disrespectful and Chelsea should be ready to face the consequences now.

She may have a cause of action under the 2010 Equality Act which covers everything from bullying, harassment, and constructive dismissal.
 
Clearly she hasn't left by mutual consent so no payoff has been negotiated. As clear a case of Constructive Dismissal as you could ever wish to see.
 
She'll get a monster payment and deserves one......Mourinho pretty much sabotaged her career when she didn't do anything that she would not have done in any other game...only this time Mourinho was in one of his boiling childish rages as his team were down to 10 men and getting spanked by Swansea at home for last 20 minutes.......Word is that he called her a 'Fila da Puta' also.....Maybe Mourinho felt she was a distraction and wanted rid of her for a while but he picked the wrong moment and Chelsea will pay handsomely

Eh, there were two staff members shouted at and apparently sworn at by the Manager of the club in public

Take it easy, don't think these are entirely serious proposals, more enjoying Chelsea's further ignominy, I'd say...

I'm genuinely curious here, but is there really any solid ground for a claim of constructive dismissal?

Mourinho or Chelsea as a club deciding to alter her role is surely something of the norm, irrespective of the public display of anger, in which case many club employees will be making complaints against their previous employers regularly.

They did not alter it. They demoted her.
 
Makes sense for her to leave. Mourinho was clearly in the wrong but that doesn't mean much given the authority he has at the club.

Even in the sexist world of football it should still be pretty easy for her to find an employer who is less of an asshole.
 
What can someone sue for in these cases? It is proportional to the salary or can it be for any amount?
I don't think paying a club doctor a years salary will be an issue for Chelsea.. if that is the case, it will probably be settled out of court. No big deal.
 
I really hope one of their rivals sign her up.
 
So she gets demoted for doing her job, the doctors first duty of care is the patient not the football club. Mourinho is a pr1ck and if he had genuine friends they would have told him he was in the wrong and that he should sort it out and apologise. A bit like when Ferguson's wife told him he was wrong to have a go at Rio.

I hope she sues the club and wins, if something had been really wrong with Hazard and the doctors had not performed their duties everybody would be having a go at the doctors even the stupid tw@t Mourinho. Hazard is also a f**king pr1ck for faking an injury, his actions have now caused from what's been said a well liked member of staff to leave, as well as his manager and club problems. What an utter tw@t Mourinho and Hazard are.
