Europa League 2011/2012

Hearts were pish. Naively set up and the gulf in athleticism between the sides was massive. Created a few chances in the second-half and perhaps deserved a goal or two, but the damage was done within ten minutes of kick-off.

Impressed with the passing and movement but nothing to get too excited about, Hearts are appalling. I've never seen a team give us so much space.

Completely left VDV and Kranjcar free to pull the strings in the first half. Excited to see the kids in the second leg now.

Nice to see both Zvezda and Partizan not winning tonight :D

Complex? :p

We blew our chance tonight, we had Rennes rattled in the first half and needed to build on our great start. Unfortunately they are just a better team, fitter all over the park and with greater quality players.

That said, they weren't overly impressive, with some belief we can score in France, and then who knows what can happen. However, the big problem is our defence and it is somewhat impossible that we will keep a clean sheet in France.

Our fans though, best in Europe.

What Rennes, I though "your" club played Shamrock tonight :p

Joking aside what's your opinion on Prosinecki and what he brought to Zvezda? Is there any chance he'll be able to break Partizan dominance? As for Europe there's always second leg and when it comes to fooball everything is possible, so keep your head up, never know what can happen in France...

:nono:

Prosinecki has given us a 'game' that we haven't had for years. We need to give him time and stick with him, things are improving but realistically we don't have the players to compete against the tougher teams in the groups such as Rennes. I believe we can win the title this year, if not next. We must give Robi time, and hope dies last. I will be going to France next week, so I will still be in positive spirits.

All the English teams did well today. Do Spurs realistically have a chance of winning the Europa league this year? Who are the other strong teams this season?

Hearts vs Tottenham 0-5
That was really a easy game for Tottenham.
But Hearts are miles behind the Old Firm clubs and they're shit too therefore this result isn't really a shocking result.

Is it true that Romanov picked the team for Hearts?

Thun vs Stoke 0-1
Good result for Stoke and it was a eventful finish in Switzerland, sent-off for the goalkeeper in the 90.min and a field-player was in the goal for the last minute (Apparently he has made a great save against Walters like O'Shea against Keane).

Fulham vs 3-0
Fantastic result for Fulham, Jol has made a good job so far.

Nacional Funchal vs Birmingham City 0-0
If Birmingham City are reaching every final in their competitions then they're playing 78 games this season

Maribor vs Rangers 2-1

Celtic vs Sion 0-0

Apparently Brad Pitt was at Parkhead.

Differdang vs PSG 0-4
Pastore debut in Luxembourg.....nice.

HJK Helsinki vs Schalke 2-0
Three months ago they've played a Champions League semi-final and three months later they're struggling against a finnish club in the earlier rounds of the Europa League

Hannover vs FC Sevilla 2-1
Great result for Zieler.

Slovan Bratislava vs AS Roma 1-0

Lazio Roma vs Rabotnicki 6-0
Cisse and Klose in the attack could be a great partnership.

HJK Helsinki vs Schalke 2-0

They sold Neuer and the new manager doesn't like Raul.

The goalkeeper was their best player yesterday so that ain't a reason.. HJK played great and Schalke was pathetic, that is the main reason.

Rosenborg are absolutely dreadful against Jordi Cruyff's Lanarca. 2-0 down (two dubious/wrong penalties), 0-0 in the first leg.

After first game in Warsaw (2-2), Legia went to Moscow to beat Spartak. After 27 minutes they were losing 2-0 (2-4 on aggreagate), but scored two goals and extra-time was expected... but... Janusz Gol scored in 90th minute and gave Legia Group Stage.

What channel are half the games on in the UK, I've found Rangers Maribor so far.

Rangers just got away with the most obvious free kick there has been since De Jong changed sports.

All 4 English clubs are winning on aggregate, first time that a nation will have 8 teams in the Group Stages of both competitions, including all the Champions League teams remaining in the Competition.

Wonder what the odd's on 8 English Group wins is.

I can't believe the advert on my stream:

'SHOULD RIOTERS LOSE THEIR BENEFITS?

Yes No

Click to win Apple products'

Celtic, after drawing the first leg against Sion 0-0, are now 1-0 down and with a man sent off

Rangers are going out. English teams in Europe, 8, Scottish teams in Europe 0?

How the mighty have fallen.

Celtic need one goal to qualify on away goals. Rangers need a goal to take it to extra time. Carlos Bocanegra scored!

Ho ho ho Saint...what's going on up in chilly jocko land then!

Rangers are out. Did you here that Scotland was putting the start of its season forward to help the Clubs in the early rounds?

Anyone know what channel Shamrock Rovers are on in the UK, it's going to extra time.
