Why?
Put yourself in Haaland's shoes.
you have the choice of any big club in europe. Juventus, Bayern, Man C, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool etc
would United be on top of that list?
can we guarantee him the trophies? league titles next season?

do you think he and his fat prick of an agent will choose United over the others?Funny that list as only 2 sides on it look set to win their titles this season.

I am curious why City will be a bad fit for him. Pep had worked with Lewandowski before so i don't think tactic is an issue if Pep wants him. City pays well, has a world class head coach, a good team that create lots of chance for him and challenges for trophies every season, and he may even play with Messi in the same team for a few years. Why it is a bad fit except Manchester is not London, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona kind of big cities?Juventus and Real are skint.
Bayern wouldn’t pay what he costs, neither could Liverpool.
City are a bad fit for him.
Its between United, Chelsea and PSG.

Why would the history benefit United in this race? He was a Leeds and a City fan. Also, there is the injury. If anything, United should hope that he would disregard the past and focus on the current state.Honestly - yes!
We're a team on the up. The right signings next season and we will challenge.
Juve are third in a poor league
Bayern have Lewandowki
Chelsea are not as good as us
Real Madrid are an aging squad and need a massive rebuild
The only realistic rivals are City and Liverpool but we've got as good a chance as any, in my opinion.
Our history, the fact that, as I said before, we're a team who seems to be growing, and the obvious connection he has with Ole. No brainer if I'm Haaland.

His agent won’t be choosing his next club. And he may well choose us over them, if we can pay. We’re a huge club with great prestige, and on the pitch - we are one of the best teams in England.
The only teams that can ‘guarantee’ titles are those in shite leagues he likely doesn’t want to play in (anymore).
I am not sure if Chelsea is not as good as Man Utd player for player. Chelsea has an opening for CF, just like Man Utd/City/Real Madrid, and it is located in London. If Chelsea makes it to Top 4 then its chance is as good as other contenders. If I were Haaland I will pick City. It is no brainer like you said.
Mino Raiola works for Haaland, not the other way around. Raiola and his father will give him advice, and Raiola will get the best deal for his client.

I would still pick Sancho at a likely 75m or so. Mainly because I don't think Haaland will stay anywhere for more than 3-5 years. So I'd prefer to miss out on Haaland this time around and sort out the right wing and possibly defence while still getting elite players like Sancho, and then potentially having Greenwood develop into an elite striker himself. One that would stay his whole career.A question, if we have $150m to spend next year and he is available around that price, will you take him over other positions? I will put all other position on hold, we have good midfield and a decent defence....
My answer is YES, the amount of points we have missed bcoz of lack of proper striker is amazing.....Will we become world beaters? No, will be get a crack at PL, 100% yes.... all it’s required is 1 player to turn things around ... remember Suarez?
Get him on a long term contract 5+1 when transfer window open ... Sell Martial...(he will never be a 30-40 goals a year stricter, anything around $50m for him I will take... stop hyping him, he doesn’t have the mentality to be a world class player)...Build a team around him....net spend $100m...
I will take 3-5 years of Haaland in a heartbeat. It would be nice to win a PL sometimes this decade.I would still pick Sancho at a likely 75m or so. Wha
What’s the point in filling the midfield or RW when we can’t finish the chances, we have enough players (assuming Pogba stays) to create chances in a game.... we need a lethal striker to finish it off..... this guy has everything.... If a chance is there, just don’t miss even if he is here for 5 years.... it will be well worth it.....

We definitely need to sort out the striker situation, don't get me wrong, it's just I think Greenwood can develop into that. And no, our problems are still creativity. Our finishing is quite good for the chances we create, as evidenced by us being well above our xG in terms of actual goals this season. Of course a better striker gets in more chances as it is, but anyway. Our right wing is the biggest hole in our team, sorting that out would fix a whole lot of issues and put a platform for the striker to get the best out of him. Sancho is an elite young player, and will sort out our right wing for years to come.Wha

Well it's no secret that Haaland will only want to stay for a few years max regardless of team success. He's a guy who wants to win in every league and has no issues jumping between leagues and teams. He's a great player, but you know who is also a great player? Sancho, who is English, 20 years old, and likely would be set on the right wing at United for the foreseeable future. Greenwood also has elite potential. So forgive me for dreaming of a very realistic Rashford-Greenwood-Sancho front 3.We still following the ‘position sorted for the next 10 years’ caf philosophy I see.

I'd be delighted if Amad can step in pretty quickly. My feeling with him is he will be a top player, but a few years away and it's best to develop him as a squad player for a bit. He'll force his way in. Disagree with Greenwood. I think he looks more and more like a striker who is being played out on the wing generally. And it's a hard position to learn so it just takes time to adapt to it at the highest level. We just have to persist with Greenwood top IMO. Not saying he'll reach Haaland level, and if Haaland is actually possible of course go for him, but I just think Sancho is such a perfect fit for our right wing, both to compliment Wan Bissaka, but also the other 2 in our front 3 with Rashford on the left, along with Greenwoods potential. It's a position we've neglected for ages and it's a perfect player for it (disagree him being more of a left sided player, he plays 90% of games on the right), while Greenwood I am convinced will make it, just not at all on the wing. I don't care about them all being English, I meant it more like they're less likely to push to leave, but also 2 of the 3 would be United products. As far as I know, it is a secret, unless he has come out and said otherwise. And so what if he doesn’t stay until 33? That isn’t a reason to not sign players. A very small number of players spend their careers at a club.
Sancho is also a great player, yes. But the idea of our front 3 being all English means nothing to me. And there is no guarantee at all that Sancho will be our right winger for many years anyway. For a start, he’s more left-sided, and secondly, we have Amad who is naturally right sided and is just coming into the squad. There’s nothing to say that HE won’t be in our front three for years to come.
Regarding Greenwood, I felt similarly about signing Haaland a year or so ago - but it’s clear that Haaland is a superior centre forward, and not even clear that Mase is a striker at all. He looks less and less of one everytime he plays there.
I’m a big Sancho fan, but it’s a no-brainer between him and Haaland if it were a choice. I’d happily have both though, although I’m less sure whether Sancho is needed until I’ve had a proper look at Amad now.
I doubt he will leave this summer unless BVB doesn't make CL next season, or BVB tell him he is not needed for next season. He has more time to develop technically and also physically in a familiar environment, and the financial benefit for leaving at release clause is a lot more attractive. Move club during pandemic when all clubs are in financial difficulty is also not the best idea.I’m almost certain he’s coming to the premier league. Barca, Real, Juve not good enough. PSG no real competition. Bayern already have Lewandowski. Inter are in financial ruin.
The four prem options are United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea. But if Liverpool and/or Chelsea fail to make top 4, their chances would be doubtful too. United have got a very strong chance as a team on the rise and if he’d be accepting the more challenging role and lifting that team up even further. You also need a player of his qualities.
I think we are equally as confident in getting his signature. We have the advantage of the manager and the already world class team where he’d be guaranteed success. But I don’t know, his attitude strikes me as one that would thrive in a more rigid environment such as United.
All bias aside, I’m confident we’ll get him

Not all players need the instant guarantee for titles. Some of them choose based on the project, playing time etc. Bringing the title back to Utd and being one of the players mainly responsible is an attractive proposition id think. Haaland will be the main man here, he'll be paid well, he will get champions league football and he'll be playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. We're not a bad place to be for the top players.Put yourself in Haaland's shoes.

Well we are a club on the up. At least we arent in need of a major rebuild like Juve, Madrid and Barca are.I'm not sure people outside Manchester United are looking at us thinking that we are on the up and are going to be great.
Haaland could have joined us before and while we tried to sell the idea we turned it down because of Raiola's demands, I'm sure he just looked around and thought Dortmund would be a better place for him to develop. Could easily happen again.

Where can he go outside of England that can afford him?
Not many outside of City or Bayern look strong, even Bayern have dropped levels from where they were.We have improved. Doesn't mean people look at us as a team that can really win the league or the champions league.
As for where can he go, doesn't he have a not too high release clause? I know Barca are in trouble, but possibly Real or Juventus can handle it. Add Bayern and clubs in England, and he'll not be lacking options.
well all i am sayng is dont get your hopes up lads.
He, his agent and father rejected us once. and i think (if we go in for him) he'll reject us again...
The level of disrespect shown to Manchester United on this forum by supposed fans of the club never ceases to amaze me. Why would Haaland join us? Get fecked you utter sour puss cretins.
