Erling Haaland | Dortmund player

He really needs to be at Madrid, hopefully Ødegaard can convince him to come here.

Over whom though? Rashford & Martial are pretty much guaranteed starters.

If we stick to a 442 diamond or a 352 then we need 2 right footed attackers competing (Rashford & Martial) playing on the other side of 2 left footed strikers competing (Haaland & Greenwood)

They can all play around with each other so they aren't just playing for one slot but that's an evenly balanced 4 strikers for every position we need.

Imagine if Madrid get Mbappe next summer and then decide to pay the pittance release fee for Haaland too
Pretty sure that's the plan, Mbappe this summer and Halaand the next once he's "done" with Dortmund. They'll bin project Hazard.

If you are not just trolling: Do you really think Martial is a better 9 than Haaland? If you had Haaland in you squad would you start Martial or Rashy over him?

This one is gonna be a serious contender for the GOAT striker when he’s done. Martial is a good striker, but Haaland is already world class. R9 and Mbappe are the only other strikers in the world to deliver minutes per goal ratios close to his at this age since Pele. Both are of course well behind in numbers though...

Since last August:

For Club:
played 3261 minutes
scored 50
assisted 13

Included
11 goals and 1 assist in 644 minutes in the CL

For Norway:
played 546 minutes
Scored 6
assisted 1

Just turned 20.

To understand these numbers: In modern football, only prime Messi and Ronaldo (and Last season Lewy) is close to matching this goal/minute ratio....20 year old Messi and Ronaldo was miles and miles behind (in numbers). Lewandowski scored at half this rate playing in Polen when he was 20 and Zlatan had just moved to Ajax and scored at 1/3 of Haalands rate when he was 20.
And he will only get better and more consistant....scary stuff!

Na we'll get both Haaland and Sancho next summer. Mata will retire, Cavani option won't be picked up, and Dan James will be sold in this scenario so you will have the following for the front 3 positions: Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Haaland, Sancho, better one of Diallo or Pellistri (no particular order of course). Haaland brings a unique size and physicality to the position that we have looked to Cavani for this season to fulfill.

Easier said than done. See how long it took them to bail on project Bale. Who will buy Hazard for a fee worth selling for? You can tell they do the sink or swim routine to Odegaard right now so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a big clear out, my question is where is the money going to come from.

I'd say we're in a really good position right now. We're far better off for the future than many teams who invested heavily half hearted while prices were high. Provided we don't completely feck up our next windows we could spend our money towards any of Haaland, Mbappe, Sancho etc and actually get away with a decent price tag despite being the highest bidder in such a scenario.

They will get neither. People don't realize how bad things are. The French teams are about to lose all the TV money revenue and everyone's overleveraged to the teats.

Haaland is with Raiola so it is very difficult for him to get to Madrid.
It is rumored that he could be the promise of Laporta (who does get along with Raiola) in the next elections

Mbappe is refusing to sign an extension and Halaand is a release clause. The timeline might stretch a bit but it's happening imo

The boy is a glorious tank already but any suitor needs to persuade (aka stash the $$$) his infamous agent first.

Still feel both yourselves and Barca will prioritise Mbappe and Neymar respectively than go for Haaland and Sancho

Am I the only one who don't believe Raiola is his agent? Wasn't he just hired for brokering the deal or something like that? I'm sure people said his father was acting as his official agent no?

I think the Barcelona-Neymar option is a thing of the past. It seems too late to me. I would say that Messi's contract will be shared by Ansu Fati and Haaland, or some other top signing.
About Madrid I agree, everything seems planned to sign Mbappé

Where do you think Neymar goes next?

With what money? Can't even pay the players they have right now.

I think I have read, I don't remember where, that he was waiting for a renewal offer from PSG and personally I think it's the most feasible.

well, not literally the entire contract, that is, not 25 net for each one, but a good amount. They just announced the renewal of De Jong, Piqué, Lenglet and Stegen (18 net!!)

His father is the official agent yeah, but Raiola was the main negotiator between clubs in his moving transfer window, which included the buyout clause.

There's no guarantee he will be involved in his next transfer, unless his family feel like from early conversations that they need Raiola to increase the sign-on fee for the player, and more importantly the "agents" (40/60 Raiola/Family or so) fee.

Wherever he moves to next, his contract is going to be massive considering the dearth of strikers in his generation that can even come close to matching his caliber.

Can see him going city next summer. They badly need a cf long term and they’ll be priced out of Kane.
The only thing is if Guardiola is there long term he usually doesn't like strikers who are just alive in the penalty box. While I guess Aguero is similar i'm not sure he'd actually pick him unless he was there.

The sheer number of goals he scores and the lack of any real competition means he plays most matches.

Well, Pep asked Aguero to improve his all round game and he responded, so I don't think Haaland being just a goalscorer is an issue. In any PL side he'd be asked to do more. It's the nature of our PL that demands more

Yeah, City will deffo go for him but I'm not convinced how well Txiki can work with Raiola plus they wouldn't pay him as much as they pay De Bruyne/Aguero/Sterling.
