No but they can have a say on whether they want them back. Promes was arrested for stabbing someone ffs. Also Overmars sent those pics unsolicited, to multiple women and deservedly lost his job.

There may be some follow-up I'm not aware of, but this snippet from a Dutch newspaper is quite revealing:

”I believe in trust.Now that he has told me personally that he did not do it, I trust him. If it turns out he lied, then it becomes a different discussion. Then our relationship of trust is damaged. Does he have a problem? Yes'

In fairness to EtH, that sounds like the type of response you'd expect a manager to make in such circumstances.

The Overmars stance is not great, but it does seem as though EtH is talking about Ajax's handling of the matter outright rather than suggesting Overmars is innocent. It's not a 'culture wars' moment as such.

This was an interesting quote:

Can't say I sympathise with Overmars' plight but EtH is correct about the 'first thought' being for the victim.

Remind me not to hire people under the age of 30 to leadership positions. If any manager under my watch sent dick picks to their female employees, I would report him to the police and start termination of employment proceedings. It is a blatant abuse of authority and the trust you are given in that position. It should be a career killer.

Or you know, instead of hiring a literal babysitter and illegally confiscating his phone - they could just fire him and report him. What you are suggesting isn't feasible, would open you up to lawsuits, be financially irrresponsible and be percieved as management condoning his actions, it is a non starter.

Ratcliffe and INEOS should be concerned that the manager, the coaching staff boss, does not think that sending dick picks to employees and people you have authority over is a big deal. It does not reflect well on his understanding of his role or position.

What if a coach did that to the women's team, or the academy? If your manager doesn't see that as a problem, he needs to, at a minimum, spend a week being lectured by HR.

Also, what the feck is he doing speaking about things like this without first clearing it with his boss? Did the communications department sleep through this interview or something? He is the figurehead and representative of Manchester United, not some pundit who used to be Ajax manager.

First of all, even if the woman had asked for pictures of his member it would be a highly unprofessional thing to do given their working relation. But if it had been a consensual thing we would most likely never have heard anything about it and he would most likely still have his job.

The problem is that it wasn't consensual. She/ They did not want pictures of his prick.
On top of that you have the stalker behaviour and suddenly it's a very grim case that has clearly caused a lot of stress and pain to the victims. You can then add the anxiety caused by him being above them in the company and a known and popular figure in general.
It must have been incredibly difficult and scary for them to come out with these allegations.
 
Maybe Marc was just advocating for a new manager and sent a real dickpic? You know, one of Dick Advocaat?
 
I was ETH in (even before the FA Cup final) but this does leave a very bad taste in the mouth. It's not that he's defending him but the vehemence with which he's doing it as well, showing a complete disregard for what he did.

I would hope the club have a very serious talk to him about this because it doesn't send a good message to female employees that he doesn't feel a higher up sending dick pics to them is a major issue.

Yeah - I think this is perfectly fair. He doesn’t need to be sacked for this, but he needs to know that this is not the message he should be sending out in an interview whilst he is the manager of our club.

Let’s leave it at this, ill judged comments by ETH. Perhaps could have said it’s a matter between the club and Overmars.

These comments I’m sure will not come into the equation of ETH staying or going. There is enough on the performance and results side to think about.
