Erik ten Hag | Currently unemployed

the daily express (I know) just made up a story saying ETH now wants to leave as he misses overmars
You have it completely wrong. It will be Daily Star. On a more serious note, Ten Hag seems like a grown up, from his interviews.

As an Ajax fan I want them to stay a bit longer but my word, Timber, Mazraoui, Antony, Martinez, Qlvarez are insane. As are Tadic, Blind but they are too old.

SAF should not be involved in any decision making process.
Agreed.

No manager, no matter who they are, should be allowed to influence those that follow them/influence buying or selling players.

We should have learnt our lesson after Sir Matt.

ten Hag
de Jong
de Ligt

Summer 22. Get the band back together.

Gravenberch with Donny back from loan.

I would take a punt on Haller as we are light up front. Might as well bring in Mazraoui

What, assemble all of the Avengers

I would prefer Rangnicks assessment rather than that of the players who reportedly want Poch. We really need a coach that disciplines the squad.
Exactly. ETH is a disciplinarian like Ralf. For once we need continuity with our managers instead of appointing managers with different playing styles and philosophy.

Hopefully it is ten hag. We have to get rid of a few egos though like Lingard and Martial. You just dont see Man City or Liverpool players saying stuff online like Lingard did last week.

If they did Klopp or Pep would give them the Bastian treatment.

Agreed. We need to nip this "player power" garbage in the bud before it turns us into the red version of Chelsea (minus the trophies).

That didnt end too well for LVG and his try to turn Barcelona into his Ajax team vol 2 back in the days..

He was always going to replace Pep, and so it will come to pass.
In England the most obvious choice for ETH is Manchester City to replace Pep. The thing is it seems Guardiola is going nowhere by latest reports..he is even ready for an extention. I am not sure that Ten Hag is ready to wait a few years for Pep to go. In other leagues i would love to see Ten Hag managing Bayern but that is also out of question for the time being. Barcelona it seems are sticking with Xavi for a while. Real Madrid would be a left field choice but i am sure Florentino and co remembered that Ajax performance at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. In Italy i dont see where would ETH fit..may be Milan when Pioli is no more needed. For PSG i dont know really.. it is a great opportunity to manage such a star oriented team but Ten Hag is a coach with a style and philosophy and PSG need more of a Zidane type of an appointment. So lets see how is it gonna play out.

If ETH becomes United manager, I am very certain he'd like to bring Timber/Martinez, Mazraoui, Antony and maybe Alvarez.

Timber will be the best defender in the world at some point if you ask me, think he's better than de Ligt.

His side is so crazy well drilled, unfortunately for him you don't win by xG so you need to make sure every match that you score. But the difference between Ajax and the rest, is as big as the difference in budget. Something, United can't seem to achieve.

His record in the champions league is more noteworthy than in the league. The Dutch league isn’t that impressive. I can’t recall a team other than Ajax doing well in the champions league recently, so you know the competition is poor in the league. It will be interesting to see how well he does again this season. I believe his best season in the champions league was going to the semi final, where he was knocked out by spurs. That was a great campaign by them and I think this year they might do better.

This is such a Obvious pick, and the best time to make it, as most other big clubs are settled with a manager.

But we no doubt bring in Poch or something and be repeat never ending cycle

Why would he want to take over at City though? I imagine he prefers the challenge of building something in his own image over taking over someone else's finished project. Going to City would be pretty much a caretaker role as it's not like they can take many big steps forward from where they are. Taking United back to the top would cement him as a truly world class coach, whereas anything acheived at City would always have an asterisk next to it as the team that Pep built.

Doesn't work like this, no dynasty remains without proper replacement. See Moyes, Kovac, Lopetegui etc.

Honestly i just want him to stay at Ajax as much as is possible.. we are living in a dreamland at the moment..
