English managers for instance have failed to win the PL since its inception and not a single one is attracting the interest of the big clubs. Which English coach would you taketh? Are Howie or Potter not attractive prospects? The best Italian managers tend to make fast adaptations to English football, Conte, Ancelloti, Mancini etc. Just another example
To date not a single of the 7 Dutch managers who have coached in England have won the PL or been huge successes, only Hiddink in his short term stints. This is not saying Hag doesn't have a chance to he successful.

The ironic thing would be that a club run purely by a branding company is a club more focussed on football than one that is a football institution and has been at the pinnacle of the sport for decades.

You're correct, Fulham came after Spurs, but he was fired from Spurs in his third season after overseeing their worst start to a season in 19 years. The wheels fell off. Add being being fired by lowly Fulham you can't categorically label him a success. He also joined Fulham after a stint at Ajax and was replaced at Fulham by fellow Dutchman Mulensteen who failed as well

Making their first steps in Eredivisie rather than one of the top leagues could also shape their view on football in a way that comes back to bite them elsewhere.

It's not shocking that not many nationalities have won the English league when you think about it. Not too many top footballing countries to draw from, same as world cup winners. This variation in England is actually wider than other big leagues though. Without looking im sure more Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian and German coaches have won titles in their respective leagues than foreign coaches since Wilkinson last won the old first division for Leeds for instance
