Erik ten Hag | Currently unemployed

LVG bored us to death, not because of possession, but because his teams lacked verticality (movement, pressing, incisive passing, timidness). LVG's football was largely thought of as boring prior to United. The opposite of Ten Hag.
Thankyou infact if remember correctly Several Bayern fans actually warned about it and his world cup exploits was highly exaggerated when the actual football was quite dull and uninspiring to say the least .

This is in his later years. In the 90s LVG was considered one of the most exciting and innovative coaching minds. If anything Hag's 2018 CL run and league success had Ajax fans reminiscing about the glory days under LVG when they actually won the CL with kids and reached back to back CL finals. We shouldn't forget LVGs influence on Barcelona alumni Gurdiola and Xavi.

would he even leave Ajax for them? Bit of a sideways move at best
Could argue it’s a step back joining us… at this moment in time. Or should i say it’s risky to join us, Leipzig would be much safer. Still think he’s ours and there bringing Leipzig into it to try and make us move quicker.

He is hardly going to overtake Dortmund, let alone Bayern with Leipzig, don’t know why he would like to go there. If it’s not us he’ll surely wait for some other bigger opportunity than Leipzig.

Leipzig would be the natural next step for him. They're a much better run club than united. Wouldn't it be crazy if Ragknick stabbed united in the back and advised Leipzig to go for Hag? Ragknick of course built Leipzig from scratch, still has close ties there and admires Ten Hag. Not being serious!

It would actually be a bit funny. Gallows humour an all that

We are a total soap opera with the media.........like Corrie daily, twists and turns

Wonder if the ETH side is counter-briefing with the stuff about his demands to take the job now this.
Hard enough having to wrap my head around counter pressing, now we’re counter briefing too? I can’t deal with it

Just a bit convenient that it all came out that it was basically a done deal and then all of a sudden ETH has (fair) conditions and now Leipzig...

On what planet does an ambitious manager go to RB over United? Need to try harder.

Haha no I agree bro, just having a little bit of a laugh with that last comment.

If ETH rejects united because they don't buy into players he wants and his checks on players he wants, he's better avoiding us.

You realize that RB are absolutely loaded?
They're still a selling club. He'll have to contend with the same issue at Ajax where the elite clubs are constantly looking to poach their best players, its pretty much their business model.

Ajax aren't exactly poor either.

Think Journalists are clutching at straws, they'll publicize anything for a reaction.

Think there's a chance United / ETH representatives are being respectful to Ajax as they are competing and some official announcement will be made when it's mutually beneficial.

Good in him, having first power struggle before even joined. Who can blame the guy for wanting some control, our transfer committee has been a disaster, the same people have been around throughout years of awful recruitment and the much lauded structure is inexperienced at best.

I think his biggest issue is going to be selling players, they’ll be so many opinions on why so and so can’t be sold or should be given another chance, could be like a new signing or will be unsellable because of price tag placed on them. If he can end culture of lack of accountability for players he’ll be on right path.

They are. But they sell their best players to Bayern and also... their managers. Never won a league and their history is nowhere near Ajax or United.
Yep. They are far better than us. Nowhere near. Dumped us out of the CL as well.

Tedesco has a contract until 2023, he's doing quite well results wise, he will probably win the first trophy in the club's long and storied history. If they planned to mage a huge push for a title challenge they would have spend more money with Nagelsmann, especially after his first season. But they didn't. It would take "ruthless" to an entirely new level if they sacked him. I'm 99% sure that whoever is reporting this is pulling this stuff from thin air.

They have more money than they deserve and they can invest anti cyclically, but they are by no means "absolutely loaded", when compared to elite clubs. They spend enough to be clear third in Bundesliga, but that's about it.
