That's a second game in a row in which we park the bus and pray to God we don't concede the equalizer while hoping for a lucky break on the counter. I thought we're building for a team who controls the ball better ? We're not even fecking trying to say the least.
Clearly didn't take in what I said to you the other day. There are clear signs of improvement but you aren't happy because...?

Yes, we should sack him asap and hire pep with klopp as his assistant. They have 1 game to turn us into a dominant, prime Brazil.

Literally no one said that but as long as you're having a good laugh by inventing things out of your mind it's great for you.

We pretty much played only well for some few minutes after the goal.

Then comes second half and we decided to park the bus.

Patience this..patience that.. show me something to actually get behind and support. Deciding to play ugly football to grind results again like the previous managers isn't the right way to start your damn project as a manager. He should have been a little bit more brave and build his own style even if it didn't start well.

Three wins in a row (if we close it out) and only one goal conceded?

It sounds like you have decided to be pessimistic tbh. I'm really not happy with our second half performance and have said so on here, but I am also not so impatient or naive that I expect everything to be magically fixed immediately. I will take our first half performance against Liverpool and tonight as signs of where we want to go, and keep an open mind going forward.

It's like people are just memorizing things and repeat it anyway. No one is expecting us to turn into prime Barca by now. I'm expecting some actual signs on the pitch that we're developing some new style so that I can say "yeah, we're doing something new I can get behind and support till it comes to fruition".

The wins are good and important for the team's confidence and position, but at the moment it feels like the opinions on Ten Hag are build on hype rather than actual football seen on the pitch. He'll get his chance, but that style of football isn't what I signed for and he should be brave enough to start playing his own football instead of playing it safe with the ugly counterattacking shit yet again.

Well no, again I referred quite clearly to our first half performance against Liverpool and tonight. If you don't see any positive signs in those, then fair enough and we can leave it there because we see that differently, but there's none of this other stuff you are talking about re "hype" and "repeating things" coming from me.

Stop playing Rashford up top, get Eriksen to the bench or at least sub him off.

Start Casemiro and Antony for next match.

It’s not going to be a quick fix but I hope he only plays some of these guys out of pure desperation to get some points on the board. He certainly doesn’t trust the midfield enough to be controlling games.

There's a few more players he needs to drop, but he's instilling confidence and the football will come. Two clean sheets in a row in how long?

I like that he is keeping players who play well instead of just starting big-name players. They will have to keep playing well to keep it and the rest have to grab the chance when it comes to them.

Sigh.

Honestly I think you want to see something different.

Dominated that game mostly. They had a period 2nd half where they had the ball, expected they at home and got mugged first half.

If you think that is pray to God football, you haven't a clue.

If we where bit more clinical and had a serious striker on the pitch we have won that by 2 or 3

This.

He is building on defensive organization, becoming hard to beat, and building a group of players who fight for each other.. The Martinez Dalot moment when the latter blocked the cross.. Thats what he's after...

And from there on get some confidence, get result.. Thats the basis to start building on the attractive playing style like we played with Ajax.. He did the same at Ajax..

Eriksen is easily our best midfielder.
No he isn't.

But he's much better when playing deeper back than as a 10, he's so slow in speed and reactions, loses everything up front.

His passes when he has time and space are still good.

We have no clinical edge in our front 3. Elanga shouldn’t be starting, Rashford is done for, can barely control a football. A better striker and Anthony we score 3 at least this game.

Getting the results but this is not the kind of football I expect from a Ten Hag team. Last 3 games have been the same, hanging from the post from the 60' minute.

Oh feck off. If you can't see the difference in how we play compared to past managers you don't know what the feck you're watching. And it would have been 3/4-0 if our forwards weren't such shit in the final third. We aren't going to be playing like City with DDG, Elanga, Rashford, McT, etc.

Na we controlled those last 20 minutes and the first half tonight. Casemiro showed his class.
not sure we hung on v Liverpool neither?

Eriksen was playing deep? He maybe pushed up a bit in the 2nd half.

Casemiro is the only midfielder who might be better than Eriksen.

Throwing insults doesn't make your point actually correct. Enlighten me with that difference you're talking about.

He was playing in a pivot with McTominay. Second half played as a 10.

Need to start doing much better for 90 mins. Why can’t we keep momentum up all the way through the game. We have a good halve, or take the lead and then we drop of and then we make it difficult for our selves By hanging on for our lives! City and Liverpool play great all games… we just play for halve a game. This has to change.

 we kept them to like 0.25 xg all game until that freak last chance

ten Hag is just grinding out results with the players that he has at the moment. Shrewd management.

We actually have a plan in how we build up. Our defenders and midfielders move to create space when being pressed high up the pitch. We invert our fullbacks to keep teams pinned in their final third when attacking. We strung double digit passages of play together today involving 1 touch play out of the back. We haven't done any of these things under previous managers. And if you can't tell the difference in how we are playing then just go ahead and stick to match highlights because this isn't the sport for you.

Take Rashford and Elanga out we put that game to bed in 45 minutes. It can't be understated how difficult it is to sustain attacks with a striker that can't hold up a ball to save his life and a keeper terrified to do anything but hoof it up to said striker.
