I am anti-glazers too. And I actually am fine with Ronaldo being dropped, especially in the big games when we need legs.

But you are the one posting nonsense. Go read the initial post I replied to- was absolute bullsh*t.

I don't have to.
What should the board have done when Ronaldo refused to turn up for pre season?

I'll help you here.
They should have got a striker.
Instead the manager had to bring Martial who was supposed to have been sold into shape to be one of our strikers.
Right on cue he gets injured.

Effectively we had a striker in name only in the squad.
Whether he played or not he was not a serious option.

Erik have finally learned not to start Ronaldo and Maguire. Last night was the most excited I’ve felt in years as a United fan. He is not perfect, but I have faith in him what he demands and I just hope he can bring some consistency to the squad. There’s nothing to dislike about Ten Hag. Even his hairstyle gets a thumbs up from me.

A 14k can’t be hard for professional athletes unless it’s a sprint? I do that regularly and I would die if I had to last 10 minutes at the pace of a professional football game.
Probably not difficult in the way we would find it, but exercise without appropriate rest periods accumulates damage. Players are aware of these things and wouldn't take kindly to increasing their injury risk if they saw it as needless.

Would be hard if they'd done 10km the previous evening in 90 minutes of football.

I’d think a nice 14k at a relaxed pace a good recovery session after a football game the day before.
Absolutely not, you're pushing way past the point where it's safe at that distance. Teams will do some low impact work like a bike for a few km to keep loose in most circumstances.

I’ve seen a lot of togetherness, never seen something like that since fergie and Mourinho times (euro league final)

Makes sense. But a 52 year old keeping up with pros even if they were running in fatigue is quite impressive.

That is brilliant man management
It’s fantastic. Morons like Simon Jordan pretend this man isn’t charismatic enough to lead men but he has Martinez and Antony willing to follow him to Utd for a reason. This is how you bond with your players.

That's fantastic management. The players have to have respected that. Could be why we got such a great response against Liverpool.
You mean calling them all shit and needing replaced for the final 3 months of last season Isn’t optimal?
Still can’t get over how fans actually cheered that on

Absolutely, no wonder he got such a response yesterday.

He's a British business man.

He probably judges based on that, their accent and if they have an hyphenated surname

 I don't think it's the "British" thing. I'm just surprised he could get away with opinion like that. In any decent professional world, he might get into hot boiling water when saying that.

That’s fergie level man management and praise doesn’t come higher. (Not fergie type, he’d have earned the respect in other ways.)

They are a team now.

He's making a fantastic impression.

there is a book called “stand up straight” which is written by a British army officer about how to lead people effectively and eth going on the run as well could be straight from that book.
Lead by example, never ask anyone to do something you aren’t prepared to do yourself.
Very promising from eth, anyone who is a people manager should read this book, all simple and common sense things but make a huge difference

The old "it's us versus the world" attitude... I like this guy more and more every day.
Yeah. Right man for the job. Both head and heart say it, and thats the first post fergie manager I’ve been able to say that about.
