Disagree. He’s being paid 6m next year for sitting at home. We have to do what is best for the club. Announcing now serves as notification to the suddenly crowded list of candidates that we are hiring.Would be funny if he won it tomorrow and did a Tyrion Lannister style speech: i win you two trophies in successive seasons, the first since Sir Alex to do so, you won feck all in 5 seasons before you met me...i should have let you burn!!!!
But yeah, horrific timing on the part of the club on the eve of a cup final, and nothing to stem the rumours. Just ridiculous really.
You are clueless, as are most of us. Inventing opinions with at best 20% knowledge of anything that is happening day to day at the club. Not a bad bloke. He basically publicly called people clueless if they disagreed with him.
Then again, he was probably salty because he'd already been told he was sacked off.

On the eve of a fecking cup final! I don't care about the manager stuff at the moment, that can wait for later.Disagree. He’s being paid 6m next year for sitting at home. He’s a big boy. He’s lucky he wasn’t sacked during the season.
I hope that Scando journo who is not known for knowing things outside of random Scandinavian footballers, actually knows something Simon Stone doesn't. Would feel a lot better if ETH is not caught off guard here and has just been navigating the press since before the Arsenal match (which incidentally is the match when he went a bit stronger in midfield and compact collectively).
Do what you are told if you want your maximum compensationSurprised if he was told as he has been totally defiant in his press conferences and kept reminding everyone about the cup finals he has taken us to.
Fjørtoft, as annoying as he is, has connection with several well-informed journalists. He is also best mates with the Haaland camp, which makes him even more annoying. Most remember him from milking the Sancho saga, but he actually managed to break Götze to Bayern right before Bild (Bild was most likely his source).
It's only overshadowing it for people who allow it to. We all knew he was almost certainly getting sacked, so nothing has changed except for some news reports coming out confirming what we already knew (and 'confirming' is probably too strong of a word as it could easily just be based on the obvious rather than a real source). On the eve of a fecking cup final! As i said in another post, we don't know who leaked this but it's the fact that this has overshadowed preparation for a chance of a trophy and against our city rivals that's the issue for me. I hope our fans attending the game are in high spirits because it just feels very weird for this to be hanging over the club.
I'm sure "You're getting sacked in the morning" will be belted about by the blue side of the stadium tomorrow, even before they score a goal. Wonderful morale boost for our players
That was going to be sung by the City supporters with or without the leak.On the eve of a fecking cup final! I don't care about the manager stuff at the moment, that can wait for later.

Actually thought he was done when he started taking shots at Ineos . Even if they were really undecided at the time, you don't talk about your employers like that.Well, I hope that bastard is right. But the "common sense" comment by Erik makes me doubt it.
Like clockwork, every time a United manager is about to be sacked, we have the top reds come out with their faux outrage vilifying the club for being "classless." Please wind it in.The fact that he has lasted this long in the job is more than enough respect. He should not have even made it to December.

Then sack him in December, not have the FA cup overshadowed by rumours. Its pretty pathetic how it's been handled, tell him before the media.Like clockwork, every time a United manager is about to be sacked, we have the top reds come out with their faux outrage vilifying the club for being "classless." I believe the story he was told a while ago and, possibly, given a sweetener on top of his compo to keep his gob shut.Didn't it happen during VG's time too? I think it was in December when everyone came out that his sacking is imminent but we kept him on till after the FA cup.
Could be the same situation. He might as well be sacked but these reports are sketchy. Simon Stone is saying that he hasn't been told while that Fjort dude is saying he was informed after the Palace game. I am not sure about the Guardian journalists credibility either. Who do you believe?
I think what has happened it is that we have talked to a couple of potential managers and the Guardian journalist has added 2+2 and decided to break the news without having an actual confirmation. "Sources has informed" is just vague as they come.
Thats not my issue with it.As if the club are happy that it's been leaked the day before a cup final but this is what happens when you start reaching out to candidates. United ideally would've waited but Chelsea parting ways with Poch changed everything. I bet any amount of money these same people who are moaning about the club actively looking for a new coach while we still have one would be the first knock the club for sitting on their hands while some of our main targets are hired by other clubs.
So basically a white heterosexual man in his fifties, coming from one of the wealthiest countries in the world and from a rich family is badly underperforming at his job despite being paid 9 million a year. Even if he is fired he is getting a multimillion payout. And he is still easily getting another job - the worst that could happen is that he will be paid a couple of million less at a slightly less prestigious job.Disagree. I hope you're right and the players know they're playing for the badge (and really playing for it, not just a platitude). As Dalot said recently, they know they've been terrible this season and they didn't deserve the love they got during the Palace game from the away fans. I just hope we don't see heads drop or an embarrassing scoreline because i don't see why we cant win it, with a bit of luck and everyone at their best. It's only overshadowing it for people who allow it to. We all knew he was almost certainly getting sacked, so nothing has changed except for some news reports coming out confirming what we already knew (and 'confirming' is probably too strong of a word as it could easily just be based on the obvious rather than a real source).
He’s called out the lads he’s asked to step in and cover the injuries multiple times. Every time we’ve lost he’s blamed the makeshift defence he’s asked to play, despite some of them failing fitness tests before the game. He’s not specifically called anyone out. Had loads of opportunities to.
Watch the Neville interview again as an obvious example.
Give me some specific examples?
If he was sacked after the Palace game he’s every right to speak to other potential employers.
He’s certainly not spent his time on internet forums making tenuous suppositions and questioning the character of people he doesn’t know. I think!!

He specifically blamed Garnacho and subbed him during a certain match which caused Garnacho to like tweets calling Ten Hag out for his shitty behaviour.
If you want to view everything through rose tinted glasses then you do that. I’m not going to argue with you about his behaviour. If you think he’s done nothing wrong at any point I’ve got nothing more to say.
I’m not sure there is any left/right politics on the in/out question of Ten Hag.So basically a white heterosexual man in his fifties, coming from one of the wealthiest countries in the world and from a rich family is badly underperforming at his job despite being paid 9 million a year. Yet a significant proportion of members of a left-leaning forum were doing their best to find every possible excuse under the sun for him for months, blaming everyone else but him for his subpar results. Now as he is about to get fired, many on the same left-leaning forum are very concerned about his feelings and the sacking being handled improperly and without due respect for him.
Meh, heh and feh to you as wellYou are clueless, as are most of us. Inventing opinions with at best 20% knowledge of anything that is happening day to day at the club.

Shocking it’s been leaked before the Final, can’t help feel it’s a slap in the face for him.
Don’t get me wrong he had to go, but also can’t help wonder, if he could’ve done better with a fully fit squad.
I was personally happy to give him another year and see what happens with not as many Injuries and a summer transfer window. We're just once again repeating the exact same things we've done again and again that hasn't worked. I hope you guys are gonna be happy with Mckenna managing us instead because I don't see that ending well either.
We are getting rid of a badly underperforming manager. I don’t get why people would want him to stick around to see more of the same crap.I am very disappointed that he possibly will get the sack after a season with that many injuries, off the pitch problems and players out of form or not performing at a certain level. He needs to get another 6 months at least to see what he can do with a healthy squad + new recruitments. Just mental we are going back to square one.
