Exactly this. You only have to look at the role of “the with the brolly” to know the judgement of EtH is flawed. His assistants appear to have virtually no input to his game management and the players either don’t understand his instructions or ignore them. From a fans point of view I certainly don’t know see what he is trying to achieve.

So all you have done is asked me to ignore EtH's Utrecht time, Ajax tenure, ManUtd first season and then rate him on this season to question why he is better than Southgate.

If you changed nothing at spurs or Villa and ONLY piled on the pressure , expectations and relentless scrutiny, I’d say these clubs would be doing nowhere near they are now.

But I say it moreso to wonder How would Emery and Ange deal with pressure ? I’m not sure either way as quite often you don’t know how players/managers will handle the prsssure.
Ange ball seems to be as chaotic As ETH ball, if an Ange United loses 4-0 to Newcastle, he won’t get away with the lack of scrutiny he will have at spurs who are just happy to be probably in top 5. Both Villa and Spurs seem to be bottling it a bit , even though United making it so easy for them, surely if we want an alternative manager, they should be able to grind out some wins and not be fumbling over the line.
While it’s not exact, I’d say I’d rate them about the same. Doesn’t mean we keep ETH or never give one of them a chance, I’m just not convinced either of them are massive upgrades and think it’s easier to manage Villa/Spurs when getting in top 5 is far easier with Chelsea and United being so poor.

“Picking the side you think will win” is not serious betting. That’s an emotive way of gambling. Who you think will win needs to have data for me to take your idea seriously. There is no reliable data for United games that would suggest betting on Bournmouth is a value bet.

i have seen nothing from ten hag outside of the Dutch pond that he can do anything special that southgate couldn't probably do which is not much, I know many pro yen hag fans are stuck on his one off good run in the ucl about 5 years ago but he is not the first and won't be the last manager to have good run in European competition and never be able to reach that level again.
