Surely now they are in charge of the Footballing side of things that rule doesn't have to remain in place
As I said, after EtH it won’t but they can’t rock up and change an already legally binding contract.

This actually the stupidest thing I've ever read on this site and I've been reading the caf for about 15 years now.I think these people were broken all along.
There's probably a case for some social research on our fanbase - I have a feeling, that we probably have an unusually large number of people from single parent families that latched onto the club/SAF as a way of filling that paternal hole in their life.
I'll be honest, losing 7-0 to Liverpool last year has completely killed any enthusiasm I had for him. I've not gotten over it.
We had 3 more points after 27 games in the Ole/Rangnick disaster season. And a +10 goal difference.
Some of you really need a reality check. This is a top 6, a top 8 side, not a top 4 squad. Maybe I should say it better: this current Manchester United is not a top 4 club in a lot of ways.
Up and until the 50th minute Ten Hag was hailed a hero. Not a pin drop in this thread. No pundits crying how he has lost the plot. In fact, I heard the tv commentator say "this ball stealing city, overstepping the midfield the way united is doing is the right way to play this City team." SAF himself was'nt averse in digging in either. Please have some perspective.
what the feck is this.I think these people were broken all along.

Glad someone said it. Felt very uncomfortable reading it.Right, these two here are both numbers and one is bigger than the other so obviously I can compare them.
Also had a lot of players available in that season. Your obsession with the Ole comparisons are a touch embarrassing now.We had 3 more points after 27 games in the Ole/Rangnick disaster season. And a +10 goal difference.
It definitely is true. We weren't fun to watch but we were a decent possession side under Van Gaal, just we used it extremely defensively.

True, in ETH’s defence he’s bought worse players than LVG did.It wasn't a much worse team though.
It was a plan for sure. Spurs played City in the cup and went toe to toe, Ange and his team werent afraid. Sure we couldnt really do that with our defense. But as a plan goes it was the most basic and we had no way of getting a foothold in the game. His subs as ever are woeful, he keep Anand in the window only to let him rot on the bench. Amrabat, who he chased all summer, just awful. His interviews are embarrassing for the club at this pointIt was the right plan but it was too deep as the game went on. I didn't like his subs and I didn't like his post match interview.
So how do we explain the fact that Bournemouth were able to play much more bravely and cause way more problems for City?I am not convinced by him at all but criticizing him for yesterday is stupid. He did the only intelligent thing with the players available and it nearly worked. If Rashford had reacted better he would have had 2 clear cut chances early and then we might have won the game. Once City got their groove we had no chance to do anything.
I never compared them. I’m just asking the poster who said that finishing bottom of our CL group was a sackable offence on its own, if he’d extend that same logic to Sir Alex who did so twice with a much better side. Or do you look at the context (transition and injuries) and allow them to see the job through?2nd with 83 points in the season where we got eliminated in CL groups. Playing a midfield of O’Shea and Giggs for majority of second half of that season. Lost just 5 league games all season and went on an amazing run following our CL exit which actually carried into the following season when we won the league.
To even think ETH and SAF are comparable is a travesty.
Indeed, some of the posts on here. Park 11 players and its a masterclass??? really? We had lots of experienced defenders, for once a more defensive midfield and we sat incredibly deep. Get some perspective. What is the club reduced to when we play like that and then people find it amazing. This is not Manchester United. Its pathetic, scared tacticsThere's being positive and there's being delusional.
We had 2 shots all game and got dominated in every conceivable metric. It didn't nearly work, nor is it stupid to criticise him since he's responsible for how crap we areI am not convinced by him at all but criticizing him for yesterday is stupid. He did the only intelligent thing with the players available and it nearly worked. If Rashford had reacted better he would have had 2 clear cut chances early and then we might have won the game. Yet Ole has the best head-to-head record against Pep than any United manager -- including Fergie.
Its really embarrassing how low expectations for the club now are. And how many excuses are madeSo how do we explain the fact that Bournemouth were able to play much more bravely and cause way more problems for City?

Not sure calling something a disaster is a ringing endorsement. Also had a lot of players available in that season. Your obsession with the Ole comparisons are a touch embarrassing now.
Even with full teams he tends to get schooled by the top 6 sides. its just embarrassing now and humiliating for the club. His signings are generally awful,, Onana did well yesterday but Antony still gets on the pitch, he immediately twice lost possession. Just what is Amrabat for? He also signed Casimero whose legs were already goneThis.
How can anyone be content with the way we played yesterday. Even with all these injuries, I have seen lesser sides play more attacking than we did. On an other day, we ship six or seven here. It was Anfield all over, imo. No progress.
Ten Hag's response to us going 2-1 down was to take Garnacho and Mainoo off for Amrabat and Forson, it's just constant derpy behaviour with him. This season might be the worst ever for braindead activity.
I think this is becoming the only answer. He really isnt good enough, I've felt this since start of season. Our players are better than what we see.You wouldn’t even see Unai Emery set up that defensively against City. He’s good at saying the principles never change but it’s a different story when he doesn’t have the guts to follow that up consistently. We played counter attacking football under Ole too but this is a different level of hopelessness when the players can’t even break well when they see the ball. Ole was doing it with McFred and Lingard in midfield and Ten Hag can barely get to that level with Casemiro, Mainoo and Bruno.
I’ve said it before but this isn’t a manager that’s even on the level of Moyes or Dyche let alone Pep and Klopp.
That was dog shite performance even for the first 50 min. Chelsea competed better.
This man is not the right manager and lots of evidence are available to show that if you care to see it. The players are not it either but guess what? He has spent 400m to bring these players in, so he should be as responsible as the guys above who have begun to pay with their jobs.
So a lot of our fans are bastards, hmm well I’m not one of those but I have been called one and far worse.I think these people were broken all along.

Pep won rock paper scissors 10 times out of 11 before the game against ETH. These statistics are unacceptable. What are INEOs waiting for?

Fergie was equally defensive against Barca in 2008. Only difference was he had actual players instead of Evans Lindelof and McT up front
We attack more and we lost 6-3 last year
