He will go down as arguably the worst manager post Fergie imo. The damage he has done with his signings and their impact on FFP moving forward will hinder us for years.

The standard of football we've seen is the worst by some distance.

100% agree

I know he's not the only nor the biggest problem of this club but he's lost the dressing room, is too stubborn to change the tactics that are clearly not working plus his signings have been mostly awful. He knew about Onana and Antony before signing them, were even worse squad wise than what we were 2 years ago.

It's all a disaster he has to go but the same will happen to the new manager no matter who that is. The club is absolutely rotten.

Once again, all this exposes to the rest of the footballing world is how clueless the majority of our fanbase actually is.

We must have the most clueless out of any top level sporting team? It's crazy, that this is the club that had the greatest manager ever for 26 years and the enthusiasts/fans who follow this club can't differentiate between a good and a bad manager

All the while speaking like PHD tacticians.

Worse than Neville at Valencia.

Gary Neville at Valencia - 28 games - 11 losses - 39 goals - 38 goals conceded

Ten Hag 23/24 - 27 games - 14 losses - 33 goals - 43 goals conceded

Just tragic.

The damage the Glazers and Ten Hag did to United will be very hard to surpass.

It is terrible.

As a Sporting fan, what do you think of Ruben Amorim for the United job?

The " we aren't playing that bad" brigade is the new excuse I see. Going back to those fantastic 20 minutes against Spurs soon I bet
It's mad really. Our game only improved because AV is leading by 2 and are happy for our impotent attack to do feck all.

Funny enough this is the most threatening I think we have looked in weeks, but it's not good enough
The fact that Villa are playing such a high line against us at Old Trafford and we still haven't scored is very worrying. If this continues it will definitely be our worst ever PL season.

That's fine and all, but you posted this:
Pointless arguing with someone that obtuse. No manager would buy the amount of trash players Ten Hag has recruited. It's 450 million in rubbish. It's all on him, so it's a moot point.

Some people are so toxic they can't even admit that "we weren't that bad". It is all about fantasy extremes for some.

I mean his position is becoming completely untenable.

Had hopes for him after last season that I’ve probably been reluctant to accept he’s not the guy for United - chalk that down to sadly becoming accustomed to diminishing standards and a belief that he’s been shafted by the players. I mean it’s a cauldron of utter shite in every capacity.

No idea who can come in as his replacement though. There’s no one linked to the role that appears to be an attractive proposition.

Jim needs to gut this club completely.

It is absolutely hilarious that a fanbase literally worships the manager while at the same time refuses to lay any blame to the manager for this horror. While claiming that the United manager has the hardest job in the football. I mean, you can get trashed 7-0 against your most bitter rivals, lose more than half the matches, and still the fanbase is gonna sing your name while booing the players.

It is the easiest job in football. You just need to be mediocre so the fanbase worships you. And if you fail at that and are pathetic, like ETH is, the fanbase is still gonna worship you.

United is a cult to worship the manager, it is not a football club.

Exactly, Aston Villa score their two goals and take their foot off the gas and catch United offside at every opportunity but apparently that's a good sign

Stop with the fecking Gary Nevile shit.

ETH had a very good 1st season.
Everything went wrong after that.

He has proven he is lost. Is it entirely his fault?
Well, 90% it is. Refusing to work with Ralph, dreadful recruitment, inability to install recognizabe playing style.

Not good enough.

Agree, it's disrespectful to Neville at this point.

The standards are on the floor. Playing like a league 2 side sitting back vs Villa and only beginning to play after going 2-0 down is 'playing okay' according to some. Baffling.

It’s incredible what people will cling to just to avoid admitting the manager has failed. They’re all living with their heads in the sand.

It’s been obvious for months this season was turning into a disaster. Obvious for anyone that was being honest with themselves anyway.

The fact anyone is excusing this even slightly shows how apathetic the fans have become. This absolutely would not stand at a top club.

We were shit and we’re getting opened no end before they went 2 up and then we’re happy with us having the ball because we can’t do anything with it

I think I already gave my opinion in some thread about him. United needs a proven, near unanimous name to instill respect and discipline. They just can't miss in the next appointment. Amorim still needs to gain more experience and keep proving himself. I wouldn't go for him next. Maybe in the future if he keeps evolving and have more success. United is the pinnacle, or was, of managerial jobs. Amorim needs a better CV before getting the chance.

How do people sit there and come up with opinions like this?

What is it, most losses sinces 1931?

Humiliated in Europe.

Dumped out of the competition we won last season.

Second lowest scorers in the league.

"Yeah, not bad."

It is putrid.

I am comparing it with our recent form. In terms of the last 30 years, we are awful.

That's the worst part. Even if the new football people are somehow able to get rid of his signings, we're going to be severely hamstrung on transfers for a good 3-4 years.

Hell of a legacy.

Or those thinking ‘that wasn’t bad‘ must be fecking blind?

Awful half. How low are the standards

This will end 3 or 4 nil
Aye, tell that to all the neutral sporting people who said the same at half time, I guess they are all blind without any standards, whatever suits the agenda.

Which other club of our size would tolerate this for soo long? We are waiting for something?

Apart from Jose and LVG, our managers post SAF have no personality at all. Worst is probably Ole who used to giggle at every defeat and oncee high fived McT after he got a red. ETH probably not as bad as Ole but still not good enough.

Oh come on mate we were awful

SilentWitness is an Everton fan and he was wondering wtf is going on

Every time we went forward we have been offside

Better start to this half though

He is going to end up as our worst manager post Ferguson and his "rebuild" is probably going to set us back more than any of them put together.

Don't know how anyone can sit back and watch this utter dross and think maybe if we take his responsibility over signings away he will turn it around. We look utterly clueless on the pitch and his in game management is abysmal.
