I’m still with him. Only because there’s no way another manager comes in and does better for any significant time period. We know what needs to happen for lasting progress.
injuries or not if he doesnt stop with the fecking eriksen-cas midfield pairing we are going to finish bottom half and he will get sacked. We have to have by far the slowest midfield in the damn league.
for starters stop trotting out a midfield pairing that cant keep up with runners and continually allows cutback goals? If you look at this half that we just played, what more can he do? The team was set up well, judging by how we started and should've scored a goal, then Onana (who's played a big part in the decent start) lets in a goal like that. We're on our way to losing another game. No chance some of these players have the mental will and character to come back from this.
If Pellestri had scored that chance, it'd have been a different game.
Not buying quality competition for Casemiro this summer might cost ETH his job.Genuinely don't know what has happened to this side.
In most games this season they've started brightly and created chances. That's surely a big positive. But one defensive lapse is all it takes and we concede a cascade of goals.
Why would you say that? This is my biggest worry. We don't seem coached at all.
Maybe he needs new coaches… but VDG was with him at Ajax and they played some exciting football. He is trying to get his message across but maybe the players are struggling to understand himWhy would you say that? This is my biggest worry. We don't seem coached at all.
Dunno but he can do something about the attack looking lost every single game, he can do something about Rashford sometimes being greedy. He can do something about the FB always being out of possession and caught out in games. What exactly can EtH do if Onana decides to forget how to catch a ball?

If the players are looking at Eriksen and Casemiro not defending the space where Gnabry is standing unopposed for multiple seconds and conclude that it's a problem with the manager's methods then they can't be allowed to survive the manager.Ye we know that ain’t the solution. Something clearly isn’t working and it’s only a matter of time before the players start questioning the managers methods. We can’t keep losing and having no solutions from the bench. Maybe a change in formation/tactics or something.
It’s funnier because Onana was in the press conference with ETH the day before saying how confident and stuff he was… looks like it.Everything going against him at the moment.
No professional goalkeeper should be letting that in.

We are beginning to swerve into that toxic territory where managers struggle to recover from...

Needs to be repeated but it is almost like a specialist (coach) is terrible at another job (scout).Majority of his signings will be need to be binned when he's sacked.
The cut backs are obviously down to the Full backs always being to far up the pitch and getting caught out of possession or it could be if the full backs have tucked in which they sometimes do then the wide players aren’t tracking the opposition winger. If the players are looking at Eriksen and Casemiro not defending the space where Gnabry is standing unopposed for multiple seconds and conclude that it's a problem with the manager's methods then they can't be allowed to survive the manager.
I don't know if the problem is lack of fitness or lack of effort, but we've conceded almost literally the same goal four times in four days. We clearly have an issue with cutbacks that can't be down to the manager not seeing where the goals are coming from.
You think he's a good coach because we started games well a few times? What about when we started the games badly? At least a couple of occasions also this season.I disagree, the problem this season doesn't seem to be coaching at all or we wouldn't have started most games organized and playing well.
I am simply asking on what basis people think that he is a good coach. I have not seen this at United. I don't know how good Ajax played but aren't they expected to dominate most of the time anyway?Maybe he needs new coaches… but VDG was with him at Ajax and they played some exciting football. Coach the fecking team. To score goals. Many fecking teams win games 3-2, 3-1, 4-1.What exactly can EtH do if Onana decides to forget how to catch a ball?
A smart club would learn from this and won't put the next manager in charge of transfers. Of course we will put the next manager in charge of transfers. If he doesn't turn this around he'll have set us back years. He's been backed with his own players and from what I can see, most of them are fecking shit.
I'm looking at Casemiro not going in centrally as Musiala is squaring up to Dalot, and I'm looking at Eriksen not busting a gut to get back to Gnabry. Passes coming in from wide areas are always going to happen, but leaving a player unmarked in the middle of the box four times in one and a half game is pathetic. The cut backs are obviously down to the Full backs always being to far up the pitch and getting caught out of possession or it could be if the full backs have tucked in which they sometimes do then the wide players aren’t tracking the opposition winger.
That’s cause it’s Bayern away and not only did we miss a can’t miss chance we then threw one in for them. That’s just how it’s going for us over the last month, we can only play through it
That’s not on the manager. If we were playing heads down and giving up then yes, he’s not turning it around but this is a genuinely good performance.
I could be rinsed here in 45 minutes but this isn’t a 4/5-0 game. This should be a draw at worse for us so let’s see how we perform this half
Definitely not Eriksen. As useless as it gets. I would play McTominay ahead of him or even Hannibal and thats saying something.Who would you play in midfield tonight?

I still have faith in ETH but this is so true. Both the club and the fans still want this very thing that has actually been holding us down this whole post SAF time. A manager should absolutely be good with the players he has first and foremost. And no manager should really be in change of spending half a billion worth of player transfers. Then we wouldn't have these "we can't sack him now as we've invested so much and new manager would be bringing in his own players" problems. It's ridiculous and no big club operates like this.A smart club would learn from this and won't put the next manager in charge of transfers. Of course we will put the next manager in charge of transfers.
A smart fanbase would request from the manager to be good with the players he has, but ours will instantly create a cult for the new manager and ask for the club to back the manager and bring his own players.
Both the club and the fanbase deserve the misery. Until the cult of the manager is gone for good, we will be the laughing stock of the world.
