Eric Bailly

Looked a really nasty one.

Hope he gets better soon, but I fear that because of how he puts his body on the line he's always liable to pick up lengthy injuries.

His tackling technique is fecking amateur.
That's what got him injured. He looks like our scouts went to a prison in South America and asked all the inmates if there was anyone in there who was doing time for kicking a mans head clean off his shoulders. Then him and Rojo stepped forward for their contracts.

Can you imagine playing a game in training with Jones, Rojo and Bailly. I suppose it probably doesn't happen often as one or all of them, are in a constant state of injured.

Hope he gets better as quickly as possible but the injury was avoidable. The way he tackles puts himself in danger every game.
Agree.

Surely our coaches should have been ringing into his ears to fix his playstyle and decision makings etc. It's been 3 seasons now. I know Mou and his coaches tried it and Carrick who should know to tell Ole already by now.

Or maybe Eric Bailly just don't want to listen. This seems to be the case. Tch.

This was one was very freak imo. I don't think he was in an unnatural position for tackling- just that Herrera had got to tackling first and the momentum of kovacic made him fall onto his knee. The Kung fu kicks is quite dangerous though.

The lad has some form of pirate curse on him. The moment he starts finding his way and does well you just know he will pick up some nasty injury at any moment. He impressed me during his first season here but then he picked up an ankle injury and from there it's only gotten down hill..

Unfortunate as he looked decent in that game, considering his lack of game time.
Still a few rash challenges though which doesn't fill me with confidence and all.

I'd replace him, but I'd also have him in front of Jones and Rojo

The Saudi is quickly becoming a great avenue to offload a load of deadwood players.

Maguire, Fred, Telles, Elanga, Donny etc. are next hopefully

They remind me of the Chinese League of about 10 years ago. Didn't work out in the end. Not complaining if they want to sign Bailly for 100 m though!

Great news if true, but I’d be concerned about this Saudi league can see it rivaling the prem in a couple years if they keep up the signings. Won’t be long til a top tier player in his prime goes there.

It’s never going to happen. The Chinese league was taking over there not so long ago

I'd be happy enough if they bought Bailly for 1m.

Not so sure about that, the difference is that the Chinese government became increasingly unhappy with how much money was leaving the country and essentially pulled the plug by implementing heavy salary caps. The Saudis have all the money in the world and won't care how much they spend to improve their image and standing in the world through sports. They'll spend billions and it won't impact their wealth in the slightest.
