Time for Bailly to step in and save our season
All joking aside, I'd prefer Bailly to Maguire any day..
Time for Bailly to step in and save our season
A stray long ball peters to Onana with a striker closing in to press him. Onana takes a touch, appears to launch a long ball only to do a cruyff turn and bring the ball back inwards. After sitting down the striker, Onana casually plays a pass to Bailly. The striker gets up and starts chasing at Bailly's direction. Bailly gets the ball out of his feet and gestures to Hojlund for a long channel ball. Instead Bailly does a cruyff turn and sits the striker down again. Bailly then casually passes to Onana. This happens for another further 20 times until the end of the whistle
Has he been named in the 25 man Premier League squad?

I will not go in debate is he better than Maguire but he is surely better than Evans. So, if he is in the club and under contract than why not play him? He is not shit player.

In what universe?
At least the Eric fan club are no longer claiming he's the best CB at the club, which was still being said even a year ago.
In what universe Johnny feckin Evans or the walking meme named Harry Maguire is a better CB than him? Or a passive defender like Lindelöf who gets bullied constantly? Bailly at least has the athleticism. If he was on the pitch yesterday, we wouldn't have conceded that second goal.
You deserve to watch Evans & Maguire stinking up the place really. I know it's popular to shit on Bailly but the sad reality is we don't have anyone better at the back. No, Lindelöf is not a better CB than him. Neither Evans or Maguire.
How is Bailly still on our books? Incredible incompetence from Woodward, Murtough and Co.
You are really underrating Lindelof who never gets a run of games but constantly is in and out of the team to cover for other players and always puts in a shift, great defender and perfect squad playerIn what universe Johnny feckin Evans or the walking meme named Harry Maguire is a better CB than him? Always excuses for him.No one wants him. Not sure what Murtough can do?
I think he is better than Evans. Its a strange form of stockholm syndrome to start considering Bailly a viable option.

Varane, Martinez, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw and even probably Evans are better options than Eric.
Because Eric's a fecking loon that no manager seesm to trust. Is he even fit right now?
Wouldn't surprise me if he's injured.
You're deusional to say the least.
He was never fit, did some crazy stuff on the pitch from out of nowhere, not to mention his silly way of heading the ball which looked like he was falling down, not jumping. When did he play last time anyway.
It's weird, everybody thought it'd be an easy and straightforward deal. I remember reading an article in L'equipe around 3 weeks ago while on vacation about Marseille transfer targets, Bailly was listed and was considered as good as done since all 3 parties wanted the move. Marseille also reached back at the end of the window but nothing happened.Couldn't Marseille afford him full time? They signed Aubameyang in the summer so wages can't be an issue.
Come of it.I'm sorry but thinking Evans, Maguire, Lindelöf should play ahead of Bailly is the definition of delusion you're talking about. You see the evidence on the pitch but are in denial.

If you really believe 35 yo Jonny Evans is a better CB option than Bailly, then there's no point in discussion.

feck off, seven years my arse! He's not been here for seven years ffs.he's had maybe 15-20 outstanding games for United in his 7 years at the club.

...fecking hell, he's been here for seven years? Seven bloody years? How?!

I honestly think you are being very generous here. He`s had some moments here and there in games where he looked like a top level CB but rarely full games. Less than 10 full games where he is been solid and reliable throughout is my guess.he's had maybe 15-20 outstanding games for United in his 7 years at the club
I agree about Evans and maybe Maguire, but Lindelof should always be ahead of Bailly.
