Better Bailly whose outstanding performances are still in recent memory than a 35 year old grandpa defender from a forgotten past, who can't handle the rigour of the game anymore. The commentator on the Arsenal game rinsed him with delight, talking about how on the day he left he knew it was for good and cannot believe he's donning the united Jersey again. The club's done and dusted hiring the likes of Evans and Maguire. The Qatari's can't come soon enough.
When Evans turns to dust, Bailly will be needed. I dont care for this timeline

I looked on Centredevils and saw they paid tribute to his performance against Aston Villa in 2021. He was very good during that spell. There was the game against Burnley and Fulham away as well. When fit he was capable of playing the high line.

Bailly never moved out that rough diamond phase when we bought him seven years ago. He could have been moulded into some thing good but for whatever reason it didn’t happen. Injuries played a part for sure though.
