Not seen a lot of him at all but a La Liga fan I live with rates him very highly, he's meant to be very quick and strong as an ox. He said he has a lot of talent but can be a bit undisciplined at times, hopefully he can sort that out with a bit of experience.

I fecking Mike Keegan at DM has some links at the club.

He was on point and ahead of everyone with the bomb scare news on the final day.

Balls! Fergie's first signing was Anderson, his last was Zaha. Wanted Mourinho to sign Aubameyang, then Zlatan, then feck off.

The problem for Renato was always the price, Bailly costs a semi-Renato.
That depends on the position and the selling club too doesn't it ? Strikers > Midfielders > Defenders > GK's in terms of price and presumably clubs like Villarreal are not money making schemers like Benfica.

How can you post here with 1 like? Is this like a glitch or something?

He also retweets links that United are in for Messi though :nervous:

I still think there will be one more centre back signing who will be an automatic starter.

Pretty much trust Mourinho 100% when it comes to defence. If he wants a guy who sounds highly rated anyway then I'm all aboard.

Newbies can post in the mains, but I think only so much a day. Not sure of the full details.

I didn't know this. I thought it was only in the matchday thread after you got 4 likes. Oh well.

Midfielders aren't expensive though, Cbs are in their range.

So this guys one for the future right? Don't we still need an experienced CB or is the plan to have him partner Smalling? Can he play anywhere else other than CB?

Dam this new system (unable to post Pics), can someone post the Kermit and hand cream gif?

At £30m, wouldn't he be one of our most expensive defenders, on par with Rio? I remember the days when paying £30m for a player, let alone a defender, was a BIG deal. How things have changed.

Great player. Fast, strong, good aerial ability. Excellent in 3v2 situations and he also commands his area well.

I've never seen him play before.

They usually are I think. Schneiderlin was 25m. Anderson was 18m way back in 2007, so was Hargreaves which is about 30-40 in today's market. Rojo and Blind who were World cup semi-finalists were less than 20m. By those standards, it's still a pretty expensive deal.
Obviously, world class talent will be exceptions, but his price is in range with today's market for an up and coming defender. In other words, still an expensive transfer imo.

Not going to pretend I know anything about this player, but it is refreshing that we can wrap a deal up so quickly, I am so used things dragging out over weeks if not months, expect this will be it until after the Euros then the big business will really start.

We (Newbs) are allowed to put up 5 posts a day in the Mains :) according to the new Newbie system.

Reg. Bailly, I thought we would go for an established defender to partner Smalling, but we seem to be sticking to our 'highly-rated youngsters' policy. Even with the Ibra transfer (hopefully), we seem to be keeping Rashford in mind. Let's hope he has a Martial-like rise!

Yea hope it is done, I can see Zlatan maybe announcing before the Euros where he is going. Not saying anything will surely devalue Swedens participation in the tournament, all the journos asking Zlatan where hes going next at every press conference involving them.

There is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO new news.

BBC just confirmed what we all heard earlier or over the weekend... 40 mins ago last update

Tweets and such like media are most likely trolling.

to be fair, we could still sign another CB

They are not, look at the numbers for Marquinhos, David Luiz, Mangala, Otamendi, Carvalho, Thiago Silva, Hummels, Thuram, Nesta, Ferdinand, CBs are expensive.
