wants Amber Rudd to call him a naughty boy
Fair.I'm not convinced there's a huge amount in this pitch to be fair.
Looks a bit more for spinners, though. I'd give Denly an over before lunch.

I can see Australia using Labuschagne a lot. They bowled him quite a bit in their tour game, IIRC.Yeah, they were saying how dry it looked in the pre-match report. Leach is already looking a handful.
To be honest, wasn’t great before this series for us in tests. There’s a reason he didn’t start.Laubu guy has been some find for Australia
Yeah let's hope so.I hope it clears up in enough time for there to be a result.
I have a busy cricketing weekend of Old Trafford on Friday and Bristol on Saturday, hoping for England and Derbyshire wins!!
England need to just formulate this plan: Don't allow for Smith-Labuschange to bat together for too long. That is 75% of the test right there.
Looks like the sky's cried itself out now doesn't it. The clouds have cleared after that last shower so will hopefully get some play for the rest of the day.
Pray for rain.
Wonder if Waugh told SAF that he helped inspire the '99 World Cup win.
Oh aye?
What's the story there?
Waugh found inspiration anywhere he could. When Shoaib Akhtar slyly kicked him during the group game against Pakistan, Waugh felt that warm, familiar feeling of competitive fury and told him that every dog has its day. Pakistan won the game but Australia were starting to rage against the dying of the light. Waugh was alone in a hotel room in Durham with a Coke and a club sandwich when Manchester United, having been outplayed, scored two injury-time goals to win the Champions League final against Bayern Munich - and, with it, an unprecedented treble. "As I watched this stunning fightback I couldn't help thinking that anything is possible in sport and in life, if you want it badly enough and have enough faith in those around you," he wrote in No Regrets. "What we have to do in the World Cup suddenly seems quite simple - go out there, give it a 'red hot go', and trust ourselves."
I am from Manchester mate! Been away for a while so clearly lost my grasp of local weatherCan tell you're not from Manchester
It's started raining now at my house and I'm 20 mins away from the ground
Yeah terrible review that wasn't it!That was always outside silly review
If all England can hope for is to take wickets around Smith and let him finish not out then we have no chance of winning the series.
At some point, someone at the other end will dig in too and our batting line-up just isn't good enough to allow them a score over 350 if we want to win this match, especially with the weather forecast.
It's so frustrating to watch as an England fan but on the other hand we are admiring one of the greats of the game at work.
Has he always been this good?
How come his average is 'only' 64?
He's simply incredible.
Last 8 Ashes scores:
100*
92
144
142
83
102
76
239
A 64 average is absolutely sensational though.
Only Bradman has a better average.
Two Australian supporters were ejected from Old Trafford on the first day of the fourth Ashes Test for using "foul and abusive" language towards England fast bowler Jofra Archer. The pair, who were standing below the England dressing room, are alleged to have shouted "Jofra, show us your passport" among other things according to the Daily Telegraph.
