If England have a world class spinner they win this game, that is the difference between the good and great sides. Unfortunately Ali doesn’t carry that threat the majority of times.

Yeah the mistakes in first innings were costly,oh and the fact Khawaja has annoyingly turned into Smith of the last few years too
The combination of our mistakes and weaknesses looks like it’s proving to be too much. Missed chances and Stokes/Ali unable to properly contribute proving the difference here, barring a miracle.
Declaring when there were good batting conditions didn’t help the cause later.

It's a lot easier to chase in England now than it has been in the past which doesn't help either. 281 isn't a high enough score when England chased down 380 last year quite easily.
