Beeb reckons they came off to loud cheers.

I think they took off the outer ones. Sky said best guess is an hour and a half and that was at around 12.30.

Half hour after the pitch inspection is usually about right. Bit of a shame that it’s taking so long.

Play starting at 2.15.

Do the Aussies think there's time to get the runs required without giving up too many wickets?

This. Plus it just didn’t work out taking a wicket that evening. Had we taken one, can you imagine the swing in momentum.

Ifs and buts, and it was always the wrong decision once a wicket wasn’t taken, but I think people need to move on.
There were plenty saying it qas questionable as it happened for what it's worth

This is perfectly poised, I do fear if England get 2 early wickets the Aussies will go into a shell and just bat out the day or at least try to
Well it would be more interesting than Australia romping to victory

Depends on how well Ussie can get set for the day, Head and Carey can get runs fast but that has risk, Green could do anything.

Yeah, I feel like England need to remove Khawaja pretty early on. It means that none of the Aussie middle order have a natural anchor to bat alongside. Can see Cummins having a decisive role to play too.

Such an exciting day to come though!

Of course, but they wouldn’t have been if wickets fell.

Play till 7pm seems massively optimistic in cloudy conditions, but the thought of a new ball being taken with 10 overs to go is exciting.

I’m feeling pretty pessimistic. They really don’t need very many runs and all of Head, Carey, Green and Cummins can score well.

The Victorian in Boland did his job well.

Also as an Aussie i do respect Broad, hate him and do wish he was one of us but he is the perfect nemesis for Australia, even though he looks like a knockoff Malfoy

fecking Broad and no balls….honestly, if this goes right to the wire….
