England vs USA

I don't know why I bothered watching this shite

Experience showed us a winning formula and thats what England need, say what you like ablout the likes of Gerrard, Hargreaves, Terry and Beckham but they won us the match. Capello is no mug, England need to get back to winning ways, teams need to fear us, none of this pussy footing, lets play such and such crap, win and win only thats where its at, ask Sven and umbrella man.

Can't say much as changed with Englands gameplay.2-0 playing against a poor USA team is what they deserve.Nothing to be learned. On to the mighty Trinidad and Tobago.

Hejduk can't cross for shit. That was quite possibly the worst attempt at a cross I've ever witnessed. Why someone like Hejduk gets picked over Simek, Russell or Wynne boggles the mind. He's well past his best days.

If people this is Englands best team then someone should tell the nation of England no trophy will come home for the next 10 years

"[Capello] is expected to lead England to at least the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup or Euro 2012 as part of the FA's four-year strategic vision".

They've got some great vision, the FA. Or some good drugs.

Easy win, they beat the cannon fodder that was put in front of them. What a come-down for Howard, from Everton to this team.

yes but i think this england team would still get smashed by the best on the continent or SA.

we've seen sven's side play at this level. i am not going to judge them just yet, but it just feels like under capello it'll be more of the same.

That's an hour and a half I will never get back.

'Bentley or Beckham?'

Young.

Don't get this Beckham thing. Okay he was one of the best players for years, but now we have to move play a different style of game and this is not playing Beckham or replacing one who plays like Beckham but hasn't got all the attribute as him.

If England ever to move they need to use the talent that is already there, Young, Agbonlahor, Lennon and co.

You got a better lineup? Ashton is nowhere near world class. Stick to blowing bubbles.

Sorry have you seen the line you posted

Foster
Neville Ferdinand Terry Cole
Hargreaves Carrick
Lennon Gerrard Cole
Rooney

Is it that hard for Capello?

When was the last time Foster played?

When was the last time Neville stared a game? Will he even still be playing football come 2010

When was the last time Rooney scored for England playing up front on his own?

What has Lennon ever done?

All you have done is picked the 6 English Manchester United players and just put random players around them

Get over yourself

Mr. Chelsea (Captain Fantastic, England's Lion) and Mr. Liverpool scored both goals. I feel sick.

From the beeb:

2205: "That goal was for all the Chelsea fans for last week. It's been a difficult week since what happened in Moscow, but getting back into the routine has been a massive plus. I'm a big man and I can take what happened."
England captain John Terry

fecking hell....

Thats not the point, we need to win, its all about mentality, England need to win all the time, Capello knows this, the team will take shape over time. Winning is the key even in meaningless friendlies. Its a habit that we have lost.

Here in the US fans talk about the side playing quality competition outside the US but they'll lose every match most likely. Even playing against quality opposition won't help if the mindset is losing, getting routinely outplayed, and embarrassing themselves to the world. I fear what Messi will do in two weeks time. Torres gets a shot at the US next weekend.

Good god I hate that fecker. Why the feck did he have to score?

We were comfortable all night, played within ourselves and could've won by a few more.

In a true qualifier there would have been more intensity to the attacking play so i can forgive any gripes on that account. Some of the play between Rooney and Gerrard was quality.

I'd reverse the role that Bentley and Beckham had tonight come the Autumn and we still need to settle on the XI but all this doom and gloom that Alan Green and others on the BEEB are spouting off right now is quite inaccurate.

We would cope against the top sides far better now than we would have under both McClaren and Sven IMO.

That's not much of a hard task.

Aaarrrgggghhhhh
:wenger:

Went mental when JT scored. Couldn't watch when the ball was coming over. Swam to the Bahamas and back, got thrown out of a pub because I had no ID and shat myself on a chandelier.

Beer, fags and furniture everywhere when it went in. Thought Ferdinand had scored

For all the critism Sven received, England did reach consecutive Quarter Finals, given improvements such as we have made so far along with a a coach like Capello, we could well have progressed.

In concluison, thsoe who seem to be claiming that we have made no progress at all or even gone backwards, well i don't know what they have been watching.

Hehe, so a goal in a England friendly would make things better for chelsea fans ? What's up with the "big man" thing again as well? :D

I just meant McClaren. Sven did a decent job. McClaren did feck all.
