England v India 2021 Cricket Test Series

Another 20 wicket haul for the bowlers. As a unit, this must be up there amongst the best of all time (for India). They do it so regularly, in all conditions.

I sense a collapse from India tomorrow. It's going to be just like the first first test, this time with england needing around 200 on the final day, but no rain!!

I have no trust in our middle order to see through tomorrow.
I think India have forsaken the chance of a win in order to put the shits up england instead. id have gone for the win.
Root and Hamid got this
Some of these comments

England have taken their eye off the ball a little with test cricket I feel.

Absolutely dominating the shorter version of the game with an endless stream of talent but things have slipped drastically in the longer format. The balance needs to be restored.

Are people saying that?

This is the worst England side I can remember in over 20 years.

With Stokes out we have one test quality batsman. We are terrible.
And have been for years.

The worst England batting lineups there have ever been.

Would be even worse if Root had been sketchy like he can also be.

Pathetic.

Do fans here think that the obsession with the white ball game has resulted in this? The lack of application and patience is horrendous

This all over. Shows in our performances. Players are unable to adapt to test cricket. Not sure what Silverwood has exactly added as well.

We've got the hundred going on (which I like) and a test series at the same time! It's bizarre. Especially when the same players are involved.

It's no wonder they struggle to switch between the different formats.

“absolutely dominating shorter version of the game”

Most definitely. Excelling at white ball but no balance with the red.
It's also the technique I feel. I'm not sure it's being developed to suit the long game anymore. I know times have changed but learning to attack and defend is crucial but now it's just hit everything that comes

Yeah plus I think we are just full of players who simply aren't good enough. Even if they showed the right application, they're just not good enough.

Burns and Sibley and Bairstow etc.

Burns,Sibley and Curran sitting together was the picture of the match.

Sibley hasn’t made a score past 50 in god knows how many matches. Just drop him already.

Hes fecking horrible to watch too, which would be fine if he was getting big scores but like you said he isn't.

So you have a player who is awful to watch who seems to make at least one duck a match.

I remember Viv Richards a couple of years back saying that Jos Buttler was really exciting and reminded him(VIv) of himself ....what was he on? Buttler wouldn't have got ahead of Jeff Dujon in that side

To be honest I'd of dropped a few of them in the pavillion.

to be fair they’re all international athletes and will be allowed to hit you back, won’t have the privilege of the uniform there.

Honestly, I think England's batting is not as bad as its made out to be. They have come up against two of the best bowling attacks (Ind, NZ) recently and saying that the batting is bad is unfair to the bowling lineups. Like most of the dismissals were unavoidable today, not some rash batting and Indian batsmen struggled as well throughout the series

It feels weird watching because in test cricket in recent years it seems like an equal competition between bat and ball compared to white ball.

If the target was around 200 ish, it would have been a different game. England lost the game, primarily because of the decisions in the first session.

Some salty post about Virat. I guess they close their eyes when Anderson is playing.

What’s so funny about that comment. We seem to have endless stream of white ball players coming through yet no red ball players.

england just literally lost their t20 and ODI series in India, you're not like Australia of old who won two or three WC and actually dominated it.

You're the best team right now though in limited over cricket .
