Both England and Australia need to take a lot from this game.
It wasn't a great victory and in nearly went balls up for England. Australia struggled and really need to regain their composure.

How do you work out that it nearly went balls up? Textbook performance winning by 115 runs. Wrapped up by lunch. To be honest, I thought the Aussies would have more about them to bat beyond lunch today and well into the afternoon session.

123 for 5 turned in to 360 for 5. That, is nearly balls up. The game should have been polished off yesterday. If not for some pathetically bad umpiring and the result may have gone the other way. Nothing great about this test win, and England knows this.
