Exactly, I would rather all minority groups would take the moral high ground but you just can’t stand idly by if you’re being attacked physically and your whole community is being blamed for everything under the sun.
The same way, the Palestinians can’t stand by and be oppressed and occupied for decades. There’s always going to be a reaction. If you back someone into a corner they either curl into a ball and die or come out fighting.
I just hope it all dies down and we go back to covert racism in the Uk. I miss those days.
Don’t think current laws include it but assuming not, I’d be happy with law being changed so if you get found guilty (not just charged/arrested) of certain charges (rioting, looting, assault, assaulting a policeman), you’re fined/put in prison (depending on seriousness) but also your employer is advised. We’re sort of doing that informally already (Twitter tends to ID people and find stuff like employers details).
Looking at the Liverpool protests, the cost of policing must have been ridiculous and sure same in Sunderland, Manchester, etc… lesser charges, charged, court asap and a chunky fine that goes to police funding. Only issue is impact on family who could be completely innocent.
No idea what the best way forward is but I’m sick of morons doing tons of shit and nothing happening to them. Modern policing works so far… not with this crap. Fair warning then you either go home or take your chances with police… and army if we need temp backing.

Not to be that guy, but any reason why the police haven't completely clobbered these neanderthels? We've seen they're not averse to aggressive measures when they feel threatened (see the Asian lads who were kicked in the head at Manchester airport for seemingly appearing threatening), but when it comes to these racist knuckle draggers its a different story. Granted they're outnumbered a lot of the time but these far-right smoothbrains have clearly already crossed the threshold, maybe time for an actually warranted display of force?
