England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

Another hotel.

I reckon the folks cheering them on are the worst kind of scumbags. Happy to encourage others to wreck their lives as long as it helps them spread hate, without taking any risk themselves.

Another hotel.

The police just allowed that to happen. I can kind of understand why they are selective about when to engage with the crowd, but if they're not going to intervene when they set a hotel alight, what is the point in them being there at all ?

Ok, just curious….we spent a week up there last week

There’ll be no riots in Whitby, aside from the fact there are not many locals left they don’t blame immigrants for their woes. Well, suppose they do after a fashion, second home owners are the blight there and arguably they are immigrants of a sort :D

Like the ones who egg on the fighting at school, from a safe distance.

Watching a live stream. They've just set the hotel on fire again, and the people are still in it.

It got a bunch of cheers and England chants.

This country is garbage.
How the feck have managed to do that? You would think the would be heavy Police presence after what happened today.

Nice combination of flawed immigration & integration policies, , social deprivation, irresponsible media, and a cocaine epidemic.

Not true. He actively made it worse by severely cutting existing moderation, following, engaging with and often spreading the misinformation himself.

He also posts racist and right-wing adjacent talking points stuff all the time:

and I'm not even mentioning his systemic targeting of accounts that reported on the neo-nazi accounts that are allowed to run riot on twitter, nor the API leaks that suggest some really nefarious stuff.

I'm perplexed as to what would have motivated you to run, erroneous, interference for Musk?!
I'm not, he's an complete a***hole, I'm just pointing out that Twitter was a toxic cesspool before he took over, it's an even bigger one now, just because it's worse now doesn't hide the fact of what it was before

Why aren’t the army deployed to keep the peace?

Not really sure if they're needed though, I think they have been told to stand down, can't really see any other explanation behind the same hotel being set on fire twice in one day.

Guess the Army might get a bit more respect though.

If you are cheering on you might as well light the fire yourself, you can still go to jail for it.

Pretty much. There’s around 66 million people in Britain and these riots are a few hundred coke heads, divorced dads, football hooligans, retirees, petty criminals/ex convicts, some unemployed, racist young people and vape addicts.

This type of “politics” has no mass appeal in the UK.
These are the guys dumb enough to turn up, I'm sure there are plenty who are sat at home silently cheering this on.

The most terrifying stories I've heard from people who have suffered from ethnic cleansing/genocide is how they described their own neighbours, friends, teachers etc who they thought would have their backs ended up running the camps and burning down their houses.

Has the same hotel been set on fire twice. The second fire I saw was in Tamworth.

In my eyes they aren’t afraid of the police but they’d think twice about having a go at the army

Really can’t help but think that the media are desperate for a minority group to retaliate and give them the narrative they’re so desperate for. The police appear to be accommodating it.

These youths have no class when it comes to looting, Gregs, Sainsbury's, JD Sports.. back in my day the feckers were trying to break into Bang and Olufsen stores.
It's because there's nothing else on the high streets. It's either a Greggs, phone shop, superdrug, barbers, nails shop, jd sports, coffee shops and charity shops.

Yeah it's a different one, cretins still near the Rotherham one but police have pushed them back a fair way by the looks of it

Because the government are shit scared of a repeat of Bloody Sunday, TBH I bet the squaddies are pleading with their sergeants to be let out of the barracks!

Crazy how different London seems to be from the rest of the UK. You wouldn't know that the country is burning. Just went with wifey for a walk (in an affluent area, obviously :P), and saw walking/running white people, Muslims, South Asian and Asian people, everyone doing their own business, speaking in their own language be it English or some other language.

Checked the news and it seems that there have been no protests, let alone riots.

Why are the police not doing anything about it? Lives are being endangered.
Yeah this is what I fail to understand. I've been told the police are acting restrained in order not to escalate a tense situation and will instead use surveillance to retroactively punish the culprits. Yet we have lives being endangered, and millions of pounds of damage being cumulatively inflicted seemingly in clear view of the cops.

Not to come across too cynical, but if pro Palestinian or environmental protestors behaved in the same way do we expect the police to show the same level of restraint? Somehow I doubt it.

Another hotel.

At the very least, the culprits should be charged with attempted murder.

Whatever the views on immigration, you need to be a heartless soulless bastard to deliberately set a building on fire with many people being on it.

To be fair, I think the blame for this lies at the feet of Holiday Inn thinking they could open a hotel in Rotherham.

Living in London is like living in a bubble. Always has been.

For sure the batons and water cannons would be out if it was some other group. I can understand why they don't want to inflame the situation but if they are risking burning buildings down with people inside no fecks should be given.

London is definitely a bubble. Twice elected Asian Muslim mayor, several communities working and living in proximity to another, overwhelmingly pro-European and almost exclusively Labour at a representative level. In essence its no different to any other major cosmopolitan city in the West.

Though not entirely surprising either - a lot of these racist knuckle draggers have never come into personal contact with Muslims or any other people of colour in their neck of the woods, so have swallowed up the usual hateful rhetoric being spewed by rags like the Daily Mail, as well as grifters like Laurence Fox, Frottage, Robinson and Suella who've convinced them these people are the sole reason their lives are miserable. They genuinely buy into the narrative that London is some sieged caliphate that's composed of no-go zones for whites, where grooming gangs have the Met in their pocket.

Its also given me a list of places to steer well clear of for any staycations  (Not that the wonderfully idyllic towns of Middlesborough, Rotherham and Hull were ever on my bucket list).

Not that crazy. I'm 7-8 miles from Manchester, living in a post-industrial town with a large Muslim population. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened here this weekend.
