Don’t yellows get cleared for the semi’s ?Fantastic tonight, a far cry from how we looked earlier in the tournament. Can't wait to watch Sancho for United.
No.Are there any English players that will miss the final with a yellow?
Disclaimer: I'm English.England were classy tonight. Favourites?
I don't see why England would revert to a negative approach. If negative is how yous set up against Germany, 3 CBs and 2 WBs, then yous should be alright.Disclaimer: I'm English.
Tonight was what we hoped, or expected, in Euros games. This is the best squad since the golden generation, and we should easily be beating a Ukraine side that just went through a war in their last match. Injuires and fatigue should have them beat.
But in any case, what I didn't expect, was a 4-0 thumping. We always looked better, and more imporantly for me - we believed we were better. We played on the front foot. I mean, we expect that since our attacking line up is great, but so far we have been reserved.
Same thing should happen in the next round. We are clearly better than Denmark, especially in attacking personnel.
But then in the final, if we make it, it will be interesting to see if we revert to negativity when faced with a decent side - or carry on with the momentum and play with some freedom.
I feel if we play negatively, we will lose. I would make us narrow second favourites to Italy. Italy have shown they love to attack. The natural reaction of a reserved coach is to defend against this. I hope GS will not do this, and instead play to our strengths.
I really hope so! I think Southgate's approach is to be cautious with the ball, more than park the bus. Against Ukraine we got it forward efficiently, I hope to see more of that, as we have the forwards to do damage.I don't see why England would revert to a negative approach. I think it’s simulcast on BBC One alsoEverything seems to be coming together but I'd feel more confident if Wednesday's game wasn't on ITV - where England tournament dreams go to die...
This is what I feel. We played well tonight but Ukraine didn't provide any kind of test, and there's a good chance Denmark won't either. It's hard to know exactly where we stand as a team.

My TV guide says different? No, just on ITV.The final is on both though.

Cheer up. What channel the game is on has zero bearing on the result. Next you'll be praying to the Zeus for a win.
Just slightly out of date as before the Czech Republic game...

Of course it's coincidence, but still, what are the odds for such a drastic difference? It's called coincidence. It literally has no bearing on the game.

You'd have to look at the games. I'd guess that BBC had more group stage games and ITV had knockout games as a starter. I think both semi-final loses against Germany were on ITV. Statistically you're more likely to lose games as you get deeper in the tournament as the quality of the teams gets better.
Maybe I’m wrong but it’s the first time I can remember when we’ve treated tournament football like tournament football and not a series of cup finals. He’s had a strategy for each game. We didn’t go hell for leather against Scotland because we didn’t need to. A win in the first match combined with the qualification structure meant we likely needed just one point from last two group games.
Why risk injury or the confidence set back that conceding whilst pushing for a winner would have been.
So far he’s managed everything superbly
Was Germany not a test?
Has to be the same team bar any injuries, surely. That was the most convincing England win in a major tournament since what, Euro 96?
