Please please please, protest on #twitter or hold up signs at the game, but leaving seats empty that already have been paid for seems a bit daft to me. But I hope the game takes place as it will be the biggest game of the season so far, by quite some margin. Also, I think Man United will win if they play a counter-attacking style and DDG has a good evening. Liverpool go into this under possibly more pressure than United, they expected to be challenging for the title, but a defeat would put them pretty much out of it before the schools go back!
A second point I'd like to make is that the Glazers own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL, one of the most successful football (American football) teams in the US these last few years, that should at least prove that they know how to run a successful sports team.
It also doesn't look like they are shying away from investing in new players or in paying adequate salaries, thus any comparison with say Liverpool when they were in decline under Hicks and Gillett is misleading, those Americans never really invested in Liverpool, the criticism by Liverpool fans was that they were in over their head as far as running a sports team, and were very reluctant to spend any money.
Now, at Man United, the Glazers seemed to do fine as long as Sir Alex Ferguson was at the helm, but the club is apparently a shambles now, and the blame falls mainly on who? The board? The Scouts? The Manager? Ronaldo! It is probably a combination of all of those, but blaming it solely on the Glazers is just a way to look for scapegoats.
Just an outside opinion.
