Elon Musk's epic bacon adventures

Didn't they used to get it? I'm sure it was something that happened until they'd sold a certain amount of cars and were not longer eligible for it any more.

That's exactly it. Musk is being misleading of course, because GM electric cars aren't eligible either for exactly the same reason.

That said, I do think its a bad governmental policy. All electric cars should be available for rebates IMO including Tesla and GM.

Fecking doge coin, the feck is this shit. This should be part of some Adam Sandler baltimore hustler movie on netflix The feck is this timeline we're on...

Doubt that lawsuit will really go anywhere.

Then again, I said Russia was definitely not invading Ukraine so who knows, we might see Tesla fall like Enron.

"Book banning moderate Ron de santis"

But considering his fans on this thread argue that the "woke twitter left" is the ideological equivalent of authoritarian coup seekers on the right, it does not shock me that Elon and his fanbase mirror each other

You may not like it, but this is what peak left-leaning centrism looks like.
I just love how well this amazing take aged so quickly.

So is he buying Twitter or not?
He can't, his collateral Tesla shares he was going to borrow against have decreased massively in value. He also put in a really punchy offer which is way above valuation for Twitter.

I always thought it wouldn't happen and I stick by that prediction.

Yeah, I know.

I don't really understand why name changes have to be public record in whatever state it is.
Name changes I get but, like, why are people leaking it or digging it out? It's on public record but not like people are trawling through the list to see celebs etc.

he addressed the company last week(Twitter) in a town hall.. that wouldnt have happened if he was backing out

Hasn't the main issue been from his end, rather than them not being prepared to sell?

Yes, he’s been attempting to haggle the price down because he claims a higher percentage of Twitter users are bots, and that he shouldn’t have to pay for them.

This isn't an issue any more, I think I posted info/link a while back but can't remember the specifics now - I think he was able to secure a certain amount of funding and he also removed the leverage against Tesla shares. This was something that was depressing Tesla share price along with macro and many Tesla shareholders weren't happy, whether he was concerned about that I don't know but he did tweet he had stopped his selling of Tesla shares.

He could still sell Tesla shares in future of course. I believe he may still be looking for funding hence the bot issue to negotiate lower now that recession looks more likely.

80% of North America on Twitter?
I can’t see 8/10 Mexicans, Canadians and USers on it. That’s crazy, right? Especially as he keeps drifting to the right thereby alienating a huge chunk of the adult population.

Its all a bit strange. The interview sort of reinforces that he seems to have stretched himself too thin by attempting to juggle too many things at once, and making a mess out of each of them.
