Elon Musk | Doer of things on X and sad little man

Not with that attitude, that's for sure.

But more seriously, how difficult would it be to change that rule?
I don’t know but it would open up avenues for the democrats too. Personally I don’t think Joe blogs would like having the country run by a non-American born

Edit: however nothing to stop Elon getting up to his chaos if he’s put onto various boards advising Trump

It's definitely not easy because it's in the constitution. That means three quarters of the states approving it I think.

“might not”. I mean, come on. I will never not find it utterly bizarre how many times I read that Twitter is an absolutely terrible place. From people posting on Twitter.
They have no spine at all and their convictions mean nothing to them. Otherwise they would act on them.

I know it’s cruel but I’d love someone to feck with this person somehow (the guy, not the abused lady).

I agree. And she pays for it too given her ‘verified’ badge.

I don’t disagree with her point but if she doesn’t act on it, what’s the point in posturing.

And that pisses me really off. Because it’s such an easy thing to do. It’s literally just a few clicks. Done within a minute. And they don’t even take their believes seriously enough to do that.

You are kidding yourselves if you don't think social media users are addicted to the social media they use. Took most of guys years to come off twitter yourselves too.

Anyone else struggling to deactivate their Twitter accounts?

It isn't recognising my Username, even though I'm literally logged in with that username.

To deactivate I have to enter my password, which I can't remember, and to change it I need to enter my Username, which it isn't recognising...

That’s true, to be fair.

I'm not sure anyone suggested this isn't the case. Addiction and/or income generation surely explain 90% of these cases.

Tesla hits $1 trillion market cap as stock rallies after Trump win

Oh but the media told us that Elon Musk’s $44 billion Twitter purchase ranks as worst deal since the financial crisis!

In retrospect, it was a fecking bargain
This doesn't prove what you think it does.

If the stock price of Nestle surges because a natural disaster is on its way that makes people stock up on water - are you going to imply Nestle is just a company with a genius at the top?

If Nestle is the one causing the natural disaster yes, business wise

You can't equate a natural disaster that is not controllable, than voluntarily (or being forced because of being a babbler mouth) purchasing a tool (twitter) that helps pushing all your other assets. If that tool costs you 44 billion but it indirectly creates an increase of 100 billions, that tool has been a great tool and a net benefit independently if now the tool wore of and its only worth 4 billion.

We don't know if twitter had been instrumental of Trump being the president again, we can't quantify it, but certainly I am sure that is instrumental on how close Trump and Musk had become. Without twitter, Musk most likely would never been on the good side of Trump (he was on the bad side actually) as he sees twitter utility. And being on the good side of Trump, surely will prop the value of Tesla and SpaceX and any other Musk companies. Probably at a personal wealth level.

We don't know how much it affects, and by how much. But it all indicates that surely Musk will benefit more than 44 billions that twitter costed

We can laugh, we can curse, but the evil cnut is winning economically and influence speaking

He'd won capitalism already. What more was there to win economically?

In terms of influence, sure. Probably gives him a high to feck around entire governments.

That's a bit of a goofy example, but hey, I’m in a generous mood, so let me break it down for you—consider it a favor because I think you're alright.

For those looking for the SparkNotes version: Musk buying Twitter played a part in unseating Biden, thus removing the regulatory capture on Tesla, shooting the stock up which makes the Twitter purchase a bargain.

The likely FCC nominee has a massive hard on for Musk and starlink, Trump is including him in diplomatic discussions. The only way right now to make money off his increasing importance is through the telsa stock. So not surprising.

Biden unseated Biden. Trump won because of inflation and climate change/wars and their effect on immigration. All of this would have happened without Musk buying Twitter. He could have saved himself billions without that stupid vanity fuelled play. Only an idiot would think you need to own Twitter to use Twitter for political ends.

He is an idiot though. Personally, I wouldn’t put it last him to buy Twitter to garner political favours and influence but… the way to do that would surely not run Twitter into the ground??? Its influence has been on the wane since he bought it. It it really was his grand plan, he’s completely fecked it up.

Was trying to back out of buying Twitter also part of his genius plan?

He won the election for Trump. Just by allowing Trump back on Twitter and not censoring stories Dems wanted to block and would have before. But thanks for your perspective.
