Played it on release and thought it was ok but I couldn't justify paying a subscription. Now it's B2P I might give it another go.
Anyone have this yet? I'm tempted to go and get it.
Ah bugger, just nipped out and bought it. It'll take all night to install anywayI do for PS4 but the servers have been down since it came out.
15.8??? Wow, I just put the game in and it looks like that is being installed first, guess I'll have to fire the Xbox up for tonight thenI have it but the 15.8gb patch is taking a fair while to download.
I haven't played Skyrim or the other one I popped it on this morning for literally 5 minutes. Mechanics seem OK and I'm looking forward to what it may bring. My main decision into getting it was the 1-Unlimited players for MP. Should be a blast. Is it any good? Worth getting for Xbox One? I'm a huge TES fan but have never played any MMORPGs before so how difficult is it?
I may just be brain-farting because i'm at work, but i'm still unsure on how this works.Players can join a maximum of 5 guilds per account.
If an account makes a character from a different faction they can still chat in the guild and group up with players from the same faction as their character, but players will not receive the bonuses for any keeps or resources held if they are from a different faction than the guild's starting faction.
Yeah. I think you can actually join either server at any time, but your characters don't transfer.and are you on EU server?
Not a single one so this'll be goodNot even Skyrim? That was my first Elder Scrolls and that was reletively overwhelming when compared with other games at the time. ESO is overwhelming compared to Skyrim.
You're in for a fun time!
No idea. I am probably around 15-20 hours in and am level 8, but I tend to explore quite a lot and get sidetracked from missions. I am trying to do a bit of everything at the moment, as far as character development is concerned, but I am starting to get the feeling that I would be better off having a dedicated crafting/enchanting/trading character and focusing my main on combat. What's the fastest way of levelling up? I've put about 20 hours in and am level 9, I spoke to a guy in work and he said he hit level 25 in a few hours!!! I'm clearly doing something wrong, or he's full of shit. I keep myself busy with missions all the time.
I have seen people talking in old threads talking about porting characters from PC to PS4, so I presume not.Can PC players play with console gamer's or is it not cross-platform? I can't remember if that's the case but if it is I'd be up for reinstalling and joining a caf guild.
Same here, I think I'm at lvl 9 right now. I'm a total noob at this game and it's my first in the series. I didn't know about factions and what not I just clicked x when my dude had a massive beard and long hair. Anyway, I'm a Breton, not sure which faction, I think it's the middle one when selecting initially as I didn't change it. I'm using a flame staff as my primary weapon, can you level weapons up or do you just get better ones as the game goes along? I'm also clueless on using my bonus things to level up magic etc. I saw on Skyrim you can use lightning and flames coming out of your hands but it doesn't appear to be the case in this game. As a Breton, you'll be a different faction, but it seems that won't be too big an issue when it comes to teaming up with us, as I'd imagine you'll create other characters. You will pick up better weapons as you go and can craft them yourself, also. I have mainly put my points into the stuff that suits my play-style at first. I'm a stealth archer, so bow, stealth, medium armour etc. It's also worth putting a point on the soul trap skill, as it will level up even without using it and you will definitely need it later. Light armour and magicka is the way forward for you.Same here, I think I'm at lvl 9 right now. I'm a total noob at this game and it's my first in the series. FYI, you can only delete a maximum of three characters, AFAIK.Cool that you can have eight characters. I'm on level 3 now and just done the tutorial thing and on the ship.
What builds do you lot have (or are going for?)Ok, so I have nailed it down. You can have cross-faction guilds but you cannot have cross-faction groups in PvP or PvE.
So, essentially, everyone will need to have a character in Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer or Khajiit) if they want to partake in group stuffs.
I'll be home in about an hour, so i'll have a look into the whole guild set-up thing.
Nobody has rolled a healer, as far as I know. I plan on doing one at some point. After I sort a craftsman/enchanter, probably.I used to love playing healer, major pressure during raids
Most are on PS4, I think. Is there a decent little caf community starting on this? Still considering picking it up, even if I don't have loads of time to play at the moment.
Everyone on PS3?
Most are on PS4, I think.
Cool, I'll roll DPS and Healer...I'm a mission or two away from level 10. I can then create a guild.
Haha! I did the same with a research project on my maple bow of fire. I almost rage quit on myself.I am an idiot. Was doing a quest on blacksmithing and ended up dismantling my best weapon at the time so now I'm stuck with one with nearly half the damage
Just created a guild. I decided to not have it named after the Caf' as we're ideally going to want more than just Caftards in.
I called it Dark Myst. I thought it sounded pretty cool and fitting, as it seems that quite a few folks have gone down the stealth archer / Nightblade path and it fits with Magi, also.
If anyone has friends that play, feel free to get them in. We need ten accounts to unlock the guild bank.
I'm in the process of creating a crafting character. I reckon I can max his crafting and still get a fairly decent healer spec on him as well. If anyone feels like doing something similar, we can be 'crafting buddies'. You get dramatically more XP from the deconstruction of someone else's gear than you do from gear you have made yourself, so the trick is to trade with someone like-for-like and deconstruct more efficiently.
