EFL Cup 24/25 Semi-Finals

Ange has to be the scruffiest looking man of all time.

And I don't even really know what scruffy means.

the force of it would have knocked his jaw up into his face.

Maybe I was being harsh, Bruno the other week got hit in the chest against FCSB and was holding his face. It is the usual got to for footballers to hold somewhere totally irrelevant to the actual point of contact.

the force of the ball would have knocked his sternum up into his face.

Van Dijk really is a cheat code ffs. Cannot wait for him to feck off.

Three months ago, I became very suspicious of Liverpool’s energy levels in comparison to other teams (even teams on their level) but decided I’d delay a while before casting any aspersions on them.

Now into February, these energy levels and manic pressing from every team member have not diminished one iota.

How are they seemingly so far ahead physically than other similarly world-class teams? It defies logic.

This often crosses my mind. They’re also so much sharper reaction wise, it’s like they play on 1.5x.

It’s, at times, baffling to watch them. Just then they had 4 up against 4 or 5 spurs players, spurs won the ball and broke reasonably quickly but it was still richarlison and kulusevski against 7. Seven.

Like, are we sure they don’t have 12 or 13 players?

Because physically and technically, we are better than most other teams. It's really that simple.

Salah is the worst ‘great player’ the league has seen. The amount of promising breaks he ruins with poor decisions, inaccurate passes and terrible touches is wild. He is a massive paradox.

I love it when players wiggle their finger at the assistant referee after an offside decision where they have obviously been offside. It's not a 50/50 challenge where you disagree with the ref mate, you're either on or you're off. You better be 100% sure you were on if you wiggle that finger otherwise it looks a bit ridiculous.

Football version of Isner vs Mahut.

What I had in mind.

Rules will be changed to make it golden goal after 30 minutes extra time.

Reckon those two would still end up playing for a week mind

we're 20th in the league for distance covered this season.

Good recruitment, good physical conditioning, and the right regimen of Colombia’s finest snow.
