EFL Cup 24/25 Semi-Finals

Over both legs Arsenal have showed they aren't good enough to win a league cup never mind major honours like a Premier or champions league.

Newcastle need to hope it's spursy in the final but I can't see Liverpool not winning tomorrow.
I can't see Spurs getting through, but I suppose you never know. That would leave Spurs with the F.A. Cup and EL to go for. Ange always win a trophy in his second season. So he says, but does he not realise he is manager of Spurs.

Trust Arteta to continue bringing on defensive first teamers at the point of needing 5 goals in the 77th minute.

did Rice seriously not get booked there? the bias towards certain english players is absolutely insane

We getting the extended cut of this one too? Vintage late 90's/early 00's scythe from Rice there and Bruno no sold it all, gotta love it.

Man I hate Arsenal, bunch of detestable cnuts. Still cheering for them over Pool, but man it doesn't feel good.
Happy to see them pasted tonight. Now focus on the league, you cnuts!

How long the sky commentators been sitting on that "humbling night" one?

I hope the PL will be on the phone tonight to warn them not to mock anybody.

I wanted a Newcastle vs Tottenham final where I would have been a complete neutral. Trippier would have me wanting a Spurs win though. I know it’s Arsenal and winding them up is funny but feck me, you really could tell he’s spent time at Atletico Madrid tonight.

A Newcastle v Spurs final could be something. Neither club has a clue how to win anything.

If it is Newcastle v Spurs, they'll both somehow contrive to lose. It goes against the natural order of things for one of those sides to win a trophy.

World record penalty shootout, have to call it a night at 55-55 and go back the next day

Ah shite, now I want whoever plays them to win. Including the scruffy lot.

If it wasn't that Spurs are more Spurs than ever, lately Arsenal is trying really hard to be more Arsenal becoming the ultimate new Spurs.

PD: what was their last title? the FA Cup from 2020? I can't recall

Absolutely no chance of us affording him/them selling him to us.

He’s going to want to move sooner or later. Quality strikers are in high demand, no reason for him to be wasting away at a wee club in the northeast, instead of an actual big club competing for big trophies and with a massive worldwide fanbase.

Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be anywhere near being his first choice at the moment.

He won’t be at Newcastle for more than a year or two, hopefully by then we’re in the CL and on the up. He’d probably be more likely to go to Chelsea or replace Lewandowski or Kane at their respective clubs, if I was to make a guess.

Winning a second tier European cup competition really won't make up for us finishing in the bottom half of the table, imo.

Yes it does. We'll have the same CL as finishing in the top 4 plus a trophy. We had a similar argument in the summer, everyone that said Arsenal had a better season said it was because they were poised to challenge. Well, if as is likely, they finish the season trophyless again, what's the point?

1 goal from Newcastle in each half of these 2 games and 0 conceded. Granted Arsenal could've scored at least one at Emirates but didn't and in the end it's 4-0 Newcastle.

Let's see who's the other finalist. Will be really difficult for Spurs to go through at Anfield. No van de Ven apparently either so makes it even more difficult.

Indeed, but lets hope.

If Pool get through just cancel the final and give them the trophy, Newcastle have no chance.

Spurs might have finally learnt don't rush Van Der Ven back after he's just returning from injury

To make a big deal about Haaland's stay humble comments only to lose the very next game is the most Arsenal thing ever.

Could have played another 2 games like these 2 we just played and still not score against Newcastle, meanwhile Isak & Gordon looked like scoring with every attack.
