Jose has said to SSN that Rooney is their only target at the moment and when asked is it Rooney or bust, he said yes. That was at a press conference. They only beat the Singha Allstars 1-0 by the way.

Maybe this is all a decoy. He gets on the plane then at the last minute he disembarks. Now the journos are off his trail. He then swiftly ties up a deal for Emile Heskey with the rest of Europe left jealous and cursing our great con man.

Now is the time to demand a tracking device be attached to Wood WoodWood so we can see not only what the feck he is actually doing, but so we can also chart his progress across the planet using Google Maps. We can do some "end product" analysis on him and work out just how many players per miles flown we get.

1. We signed Zaha in the winter window and loaned him out. He has nothing to do with this window.
2. It is much more likely that Thiago preferred to go to Bayern after we dallied on the deal.
3. Fabregas might be feeling unloved if Barca are willing to listen to offers but that is only speculation.
4. The Rooney situation was there but it is how it is being handled.
5. Do we? It is much more likely that he is coming back to deal with the Rooney situation that has blown up today.
6. We used to act with more class than spreading what Chelsea claim are outright lies. Granted, Chelsea have reason to lie too if they have been offering players about behind their back. Regardless, it is not the kind of nonsense that we used to get involved with.

The probable reason for the Mata/Luiz leak is that Chelsea have had people in talks with with Team Rooney for ages, and United are teed off about it.
 
I don't thing there is any chance we will sell Rooney until we bring in a big name or two.

Why would have be flying to Europe to deal with a Rooney transfer to Chelsea when Chelsea are in Thailand.
 
I don't see this being about Rooney, simply because that there is no urgent need to sell him now. It makes little odds to us whether he leaves now, on the last day of the window, or not at all this season. If Jose honestly only has Rooney as a main target, there's no rush for us.

If I was a rival supporter, I'd be getting well pissed at the publicity we're recieving right now. No other club in England would have Sky Sports News licking their balls at a CEO returning on a fecking plane regardless if it is for a transfer. Not sure how to feel about the leaking of transfer news at the moment, if the money is really there and we're genuinely close to targets, then fair play we're making a big splash and making fans become excited at this new era for the club but if we're just trying to create a massive hoo ha and we end up with a series of transfer failures... its going to be very embarassing and look unprofessional.
