I expect the other clubs have brought in signings that they feel will strenghen their team and improve their chances of winning the PL even if you might not agree with them.

Every player worth signing is not necessarily available to buy. We might have had more success with our transfers if we had bought earlier, but now that Moyes has declared he has no limit on his transfer budget we're at their mercy if we want to strengthen.
How many of the players signed by the other top clubs in the Premier League would you have wanted at United?

Moyes is amateur night at the country fair.

Woodward has been rejected so much this transfer window he's probably flying to england because his wife wants to a divorce.

Besides this probably been the summer of unfulfilled muppet dreams on here, this also has to be the summer of most times an unfunny joke has been repeated? :(

Woodward told Fabregas to meet him at Heathrow Terminal 5 but it's so big they're still looking for each other. Fabgregas is currently waiting at the Information Desk.

Carrick Fabregas
Ronaldo Mata Bale
RVP

Will try and get that side together via cheat option in next Football Manager and see how she goes. Its looks terrifying.

I was with an Irishman and a Scotsman the other day, something very funny happened but I'm not gonna share it now.

I bet his flight home with the war chest was like the last 15 minutes of Raiders of the lost Ark.

It's not a war chest, it's a wad of bills held together with an elastic band.

When Woody gets his man he takes out the wad, licks his thumb, then pays out in hard cash.

Clearly the safest thing to do would've been to chuck the war-chest off the plane in the general direction of Barcelona - saves time, and trouble with customs.

I'd have taken Fernandinho, Paulinho or Van Ginkel, and if Rooney were off, I'd take Jovetic too.

And then tell Cesc to walk free, onto a plane headed for Manchester. Only then would they get the code for the chest.

You'd have taken Fernandinho at 34m?
and how much've you seen of Van Ginkel?

but now that Moyes has declared he has no limit on his transfer budget we're at their mercy if we want to strengthen.

Can people stop saying this? It's clearly the the logic of a 5 year old.

This place is like a home for mentally retarded people, I'm surprised some of you can use a computer.

Now we're over-complicating things. Fernandinho is a player who has moved this summer to a rival team, and the question was 'which one of them would you have here?'. I like him as a player, he looks a very good central midfielder and we are in the market for one of those. The price involved is another matter, just saying he is a player I would have liked here of the few in question.

As for Van Ginkel, I have probably seen one full game outside of all of his games in the Euros. How many do I have to have seen, out of curiousity?

Continue criticizing the management I see.

I do my best ;-)

When Woodward openly declare that he's flying around half of the world to do some business he create's huge expectations and feed the media with unnecessary ammunition. First we make a bid for Fabregas then we don't follow it up, you don't think that's a little bit strange? Secondly we're nearly in the middle of our pre season tour and so far we haven't seen one single major new signing, what's holding us up? Other top clubs have done plenty of business.

I don't think that we're doing transfer business according to our initial plans, I'm not even sure we're following our plan B. Because if we do it looks quite complicated and it's difficult to understand our strategy. All clubs face's setbacks but this summer has been extraordinary. We are on our way to lose one of our best paid player because of in house conflicts, maybe not Woodwards and Moyes fault but still a set back for the club. We didn't get Thiago, it must be labeled as some sort of a set back. We have made a bid for Fabregas and no progress what so ever after five days. You don't find this things extraordinary?

I don't criticize my favorite club because its fun our I have an agenda against Moyes or Woodward. I want them all to succeed like all of us who support this club. If we buy Bale, Modric or Fabregas I will scream out laud of happiness. If we don't I will be disappointed, quite naturally after all this circus. But I will also react and share my view when I see activity's who isn't normal or looks strange from the outside. I know a lot of members on this forum doesn't like when some of us criticize our management. We have posters who can't even read one single negative word without going bananas. I can live with that because it doesn't affects me so much, and when it does I have no problem to apologize if I being out of order. Something others should learn to do.

Do you have access to the PRISM program? Otherwise it will be tough to make such supposition. I suspect there will be a learning curve for Woody and plus Moyes will have different ideas to Fergie in terms of player requirements .

I'd have taken Fernandinho, Paulinho or Van Ginkel, and if Rooney were off, I'd take Jovetic too.

Never noticed him anytime I've seen him play and overpriced ×2, never seen him play (doubt you have either, much), decent but hardly a world beater. All for a combined sum of about £80mil.

I'm not at all jealous about that bunch.

The club really needs to get step up their game PR wise.

From the whole Thiago fisaco, the whole handling of the Rooney saga and the huge hype around the sudden departure of Woodward back to Manchester, we really do come across as clueless. It's like we're trying way to hard.
