Eden Hazard

Worth it, every single cent! Has carried Chelsea for so many years, now.

Wow Madrid are spending. That'll put them over £300m Sterling won't it?

88 mill plus add-ons
Good business for both clubs. Real Madrid gets it first superstar in years and Chelsea gets a good bundle of cash for a player that would leave for free next year.

FIFA should just force clubs to release these figures to the public. Like in american sports

Contracts, too

Why? It's none of your business!
Of course it is! As someone who spends waaaay too much time obsessing over this stuff, i speak for every muppet in the world(so basically, every football fan in the world including you) when i say that it is my business!

Madrid have already spent 320m euros and its not even mid-June. On the other hand, we have spent a grand total of 15m. Anyway, I hope we have some deals lined up and are just waiting for the Nations League to end.

If they released transfer fees and player wages then I couldn't knowingly inflate them or mix up pounds and Euros to suit my argument!

Anyway. Enjoy Hazard, he's a great buy at £155 million.

Yeah, it was a great signing at €100m and only €15m a year in wages. He took a paycut to join!

Translation: "I love living in Madrid. I'm one of the highest-paid players in the squad and I don't have to do anything to get that paycheck. I've played 331 minutes of football this season while earning millions of euros. Hopefully next season I won't have to play that much as I don't want to sacrifice my health. No-one will probably want to sign me even on a free so I want to celebrate my last bit of easy money."

The new Bale, he'll probably go to MLS or similar standard league when his contract ends.

Signing guys 30+ on long big money contracts is quite a big risk.

Although they signed him when he was 28, so should have been in his prime.

No doubt it’s up with there with one of the worst ever transfers though. He’s been a complete non-entity.

He fecking wishes he had Bale's Real career.

Bale scored 106 goals and won a CL final for them. Hazard has scored 7.

Yes true, seems like he's older. Bit like the Belgian Rooney, insane decline.

New Bale in terms of seeing his contract out and never playing.

Fair play, we only have one life and he's won the jackpot. Take it easy.

Man is a winner, paid 4(?) year long vacation in sunny Spain, eating good food, and picking up trophies he didn't earn, he got it all.

Yes, he’s a multiple title winner and a CL winner. Don’t you forget that ;)

"Celebrate the last year of contract I have left":lol:
Legend.

Just googled and he’s scored 7 goals in 4 seasons. I know he’s had injury problems but that’s an insane drop off from the player he was at Chelsea.

His final season at Chelsea he had 21 goals and 17 assists. It’s like he ended that season and immediately fell off a cliff. Some of it super unlucky and some of it self inflicted.

Ancelotti/the club decided a while ago that he's not part of the plans. He just doesn't play, at all.

Health.Paella. Madrid.

In that order. Fair enough really.

He totally fleeced RM, but also RM just takes the hit and keeps going.

Does Hazard get a big pass compared to Bale, even if Bale has done ten times more for RM than Hazard?

Gets a pass in what sense? From Real Madrid fans or football fans in general? He’s nothing but a sad meme in general now and I’m pretty sure Real Madrid fans do not care about him one bit about him and have wanted him gone probably since his second season there.

From Real Madrid fans. Bale got loads of stick from Madrid fans and all, even after all his good play and direct contribution towards major trophies.
