I thought Neville did rant on him earlier this season back when Mourinho was in charge. Who knows though...this whole season has been like a bad dream. Think how long ago that loss to Spurs at the beginning of the season was. It feels like ages ago (and not because things are so much better now.)

I'm sure there's a hell of a lot of people that could keep our revenues high, just keep doing what we've been doing for years, collect all the extra money being thrown at us by sponsors/tv/PL/UEFA. He's taking money that's being thrown at us because of what other men have done before him. Hell, there was even an article not long ago saying that the club feel like they've over saturated themselves with sponsorships and that they're planning on making our name more lucrative again by reigning in the sponsorships. So he's probably mindlessly handed out deals anyway and, actually, not doing that great a job there.

The simple fact that he's destroyed the most successful football club with terrible decisions is the real issue though. Forget sponsorships, because that's a byproduct of our success over Fergie's time. He's done a terrible job.

This is absolutely the main problem. The Glazers have only ever been interested in making as much profit as possible from the club. 4th place and a ticket on next season's CL gravy train is the requirement, any trophies that might be won along the way are incidental and just a bonus. Woodward's statement to shareholders about on field success having no impact on off field performance, tells you everything about where the owners priorities lie unfortunately.

Woodward and Judge are both bankers, yes with a b, and until there are experienced and high quality football administrators on their positions, it's unlikely anything will change.

Those of us that have followed the club for decades, see no light on the horizon until changes in administration are made, and a change in ownership wouldn't go astray. Some of the blame has to go to Ferguson for letting the club drift in the last few years of his reign to possibly appease the new owners. There was no regeneration of the roster to younger players and his idea of value saw him trapped in his own thinking.

Not a good outlook for at least 3 years, and if Ole doesn't undertake root and branch reform of the roster, or will he is allowed to, uncomfoartable times ahead.

Agree with much of this. Good points. On Fergie, I believe he wanted a structure were the next manager was given equal power as he himself had. The biggest mistake was believing that Moyes could handle such responsibility, or in fact anyone but Fergie. He was also used to a very good working relationship with Gill.

Added to that, I think he overestimated the quality of some of the young players He left: Smalling, Evans, Jones, Welbeck were internationals close to 20 years old at the time. Arguably they’d have progressed better under Fergie as well.

If Woodward is to be our captain at the mast concerning footballing matters much longer, I don’t think it will be easy for Solskjær or anyone else.
