This is very interesting. Basically, Sneijder played as the most attacking midfielder in a midfield three at Ajax, wearing the numer 10 jersey. We usually consider the most attacking player in a midfield three

Your "opinion" is nonsense then.

Ajax mostly played 3 in their forward line and none of them were Sneijder. He was in central midfield.

Madrid decided to buy him for 27 million euros after that season

This is very interesting. Basically, Sneijder played as the most attacking midfielder in a midfield three at Ajax, wearing the #10 jersey. In Holland, we usually consider the most attacking player in a midfield three the 'number ten'. I have seen him play in that role live, in the stadium a couple of times.

Yet we have two people who know for sure he was a central midfielder at Ajax, one of them even posting a nice picture, showing a midfield three that consists off Gabri (cm) Maduro (cdm) Lindgren (cdm) Garcia (cm) Sneijder (AM) Perez (AM), proving my point more or less.

Also from what I recall, Sneijder always played a more attacking role on Madrids midfield, so since when is an attacking midfielder a central midfielder?

All in all I still don't see how Sneijder was a CM and not a #10 at Ajax. Sure he's played CM for them, just like Rooney did for us, but most of the time he was a playmaker.

3 midfield role of 433 is different with 4231 and 4411. #10 role is a player play behind striker, not a central position. Three midfield in 433. Two of them play in central position with someone play deeper as a defensive role or deeplying plamaker. Clearly they call it 433. trio midfield play in central (Obviously though play more central but they can go up to score goals). 4231 (3 attacking midfield)

3 centre midfield role
Gabri Maduro Sneijder

is different role with

Gabri Maduro
Wing Sneijder Wing

Or

4411

Wing CM CM Wing
Sneijder

Martins Indi and De Vrij do not perform like future United Material so far this WC...

Apart from Van Persie and Robben, most of them are average. Even against Spain, Blind, Robben and RvP did it nearly on their own.

In the spirit of knee-jerking, don't sign any Dutch players, they can't beat Australia!!

Robben, Blind, and Depay would be great options and I'm sure LvG could make it happen if he wants them, even despite Robben's recent extension at Bayern. The lure of playing with him at a big club, as well as providing continuity for the national team in terms of keeping several of the players together at club level would be appealing to them.
