Not sure I agree, I think Fred will be molded into the defensive midfield role while VDB will offer cover for Pogba and Bruno. Fred offers far more defensively and he's better than McTomminay who could be under more pressure I think.

Would be a good value signing. Already a good player, and has enough potential to indicate a materially higher ceiling, if he continues to develop. Either he comes in and stakes a claim in the starting lineup, or he provides an increase in quality in valuable rotation minutes. When City can bring guys off the bench like Gundogan, B. Silva, Mahrez, and the like, I can only see this as a win-win proposition for us.
I still don’t believe this by the way but if it turns out to be true I can imagine that McT with his new long term contract and Fred will not be particularly happy with their prospects of playing time.

I think this will be an excellent signing. Can play in Bruno's role as a 10 or play in Pogba's role as a 10. Hopefully we can wrap this up very soon.
There have been "rumors" Galatasary wants Fred on loan. Nothing concrete but if we do sign DVB then it would make sense as Ole will want to keep McTominay for that extra cover.
I agree with this. There are so many things he must develop to become a good RB, or good player in any position. I’d work on his strength and decision-making first.
