Roumors of him coming to us on loan? Anyone heard anything from Man Utd’s side of things?, if so what’s he like? Don’t really know much about. Any information would be appreciated, thanks.
There's not a chance he'll cut it in Scottish football. He needs to go back to Holland and start again.

There was a press conference last season where it was put to Ten Hag about van de Beek going on loan in Jan (pre his injury) and he ruled it out basically insinuating it was time he cut it here or went permanently.

Hopefully nothing has changed as I really don’t see the point of a loan from our point of view. Bar saving a wage but much better to cut our losses and sell.

Has to be sold. Get him and atleast one of Fred or McTominay out the door and get a midfielder of an acceptable level in

Name one - £23m in the Champ represents the entire transfer budget of half the league Added together mate!

I think he is talking about Championship players being bought by PL clubs. Still your point stands that not many have moved directly from the Championship for fees close to that and if anybody believes there is a club that would pay anywhere north of 10M for Donny at this point in his career then I will have an ounce of whatever they are smoking.

Such a weird player. You van see what he tries to do. A dribble, a shimmy, a feint, but then he is so easily caught up with or muscled off the ball. It’s like a technical teenager trying to play men’s football. How can a professional footballer be so devoid of physical attributes? You can be slow but tough, skinny but tough. He has no toughness in him.

Maybe he’ll be a late bloomer. 4 or 5 more season long loans and he might show us he’s not a completely useless bag of fannies.
Yup. Just have to remember to give him multi-year extension soon, with a big raise, to protect his resale-value.

He will be fine in the Scottish League, tempo there is vastly lower than the prem. Same with the Dutch league. He doesnt have the tempo for the premier league

He's absolutely amazing. Great in progressive runs, can pick a pass with needle precision, defensive monster & dominant aerially. I'm shocked to see him leave & even more shocked that Celtic aren't making a permanent bid for this gem of a player. You can have him if you want only 10m from us.

Can anyone remember the game we won 9-0 and VDB played as an attacking player and literally did nothing.

That was absolutely amazing. It’s just not worked out for him here has it.

Hectic said Donny was greeting a ghost. But what's funnier is all his posts cant be clicked and have turned into ghosts.

He's excellent at playing hide and seek on an open pitch in a crowded stadium.

Would be a good signing for celtic. Need to build his confidence back up. If he can get back to his ajax heights then he'll soon become a fan favourite at parkhead.

I doubt Celtic will pay much of a transfer fee for him - is he being linked with a loan move there?

I'd be amazed if he went to Scotland, I know he's had a bad three years but he is far too good for the SPL. That's championship to League 1 level.

Surely he could get a move to Germany, France,Spain or Italy.

I've been desperate to see him succeed at United, but even though he scored a technically beautiful goal yesterday, he was still not as involved in the game as some of his other teammates. I don't know what's the issue is with him in this regards. Guy just doesn't get involved enough on the ball. Hard to see on tv but is he doing some other things off the ball that we can't see?

Think that would be a good move for him. There is a player there and a mid-table Spanish side is probably the right level.

Actually had the chance to see Real Sociedad this spring and Silva was brilliant. Not fast or strong but technique still there and his footballing-brain 3 times the speed of everyone else.

As long as they cover his all his wages for a year that will help significantly towards Amrabat

Not that it matters much, but they finished fourth last season and will be playing CL football.

Does that mean we would keep Scott? Because that would suck. :(

Scott has always been less likely to leave than Fred or Donny simply because he is not on crazy wages, is still a decent age and can be useful if used situationally. He was actually pretty good when he played last season and seemed to repond well to ETH. We will still sell him for the right price but we are far from desperate to move him so won't entertain any daft offers. Donny needs to move as his value is shot and he needs to rebuild his reputation somewhere and Fred is 30 and we don't want to extend his contract so we will entertain any proposals.
