You’re apparently far more knowledgeable about the virus than I, but would the treatments he was on give him the ability to stand / appear more healthy than those without such?

I posted those with the thought of ‘just imagine where we would be now without Trump being around these past four months’ in mind, not the medical side of it.

Everyone who has covid gets the same treatments. There is no magic treatment available to him that's not available to you and me. I don't count the regneron antibodies cocktail as there is no evidence for it. Anyway if you are so sick that you might need ventilator highly doubt you can stand and talk. Those patients are just too sick. It's hyperbole imo. Were they thinking of intubating him? Sure. You plan for the worst. So in that sense yeah it may have been a consideration, if needed. But based on what we've seen I don't think he was actually close to it.

But I thought he was administered steroids or the like (?), the stuff that made him feel so incredibly good that he even tweeted about such. Would that not make him appear more physically able & healthy than actual?

Good.

No it wouldn't. Steroids are key part of covid treatment if and only if your oxygen levels are low. But if you are sick as shit they won't do magic.

Oh, well. It would have been great to not to have had him these last four months. One can always dream.
 
What's the timeliness for his acquittal then?
I ask because we know the outcome already and I'm wondering if there are criminal charges that can be brought against him

I think criminal charges are a certainty now. The question seems to be how many and in how many states. NY and Georgia seem nailed on.

I don't think he has something on them. They're opportunists and know very well that if they put off Trump's base they stand no chance in the next elections. It's unbearable that this means he won't be held responsible but on the other side we're witnessing how the GOP is slowly abolishin themselves with their short term opportunism.

They made a deal with the devil in supporting Trump. Now he has radicalized huge shares of their basis beyond repair. But they still don't draw the line and just go with it. And through actions like this they're conditioning those lunatics that they can get what they want if they exert pressure on Republican politicians. At some point they won't be able to reconcile the right wing and more moderate Republican voters, let alone persuade swing voters or even conservative Democrats. They're desperately trying to keep all the loose ends together but hopefully this won't work in the mid to long term.

It's almost as if there are consequences to your actions.
 
No one does stabbing someone in the back better than a politician.
 
Imagine being a lawyer tasked with the biggest case of your career & you could literally say virtually anything you wanted as a defense & there would be no repercussions.
