I think at some point during this election we are going to see "leaks" apparently from Democrat candidate and DNC emails which are entirely fabricated and hugely damaging and they're going to be coordinated as a two prong attack between the social media bot nets propagating the fake leaks and Barr acting as a rogue AG so whatever "incriminating" allegations are contained in the leaks will be taken absolutely seriously and form the basis for criminal investigations into Democrat candidates.

Of course, nothing will come of the criminal investigations, but that doesn't matter because this will only be known long after it helps Trump and the Senate republicans to a completely invalid victory and they've already established that if they have the Senate and White House they are absolutely untouchable.

Yesterday, they voted to say that a Republican President can illegally interfere with elections as he so wishes with absolutely no consequences. Trump hasn't just been "exonerated", he's been given the nod to ramp the dial up to 11 and do whatever he wants, no matter how illegal to ensure that Republicans win big this year. This is the key point, the media can give up their investigations into Trump and Republicans because none of what they bring to light matters, they are immune from consequences and control what the public think anyway.

He has already been accused with evidence/witnesses of abuse of power, paying of pornstar, collusion with Russia, obstruction of justice, using the presidency to enrich himself, defrauding a charity, infidelity while his wife is pregnant, multiple sexual harrassements. Nothing is going to hurt him. Usually it increases his popularity.
What I am more surprised about is why the GOP are concentrating just on Biden. Is it because they are sure that he is going to win the primary or is it because they have very dark dirt already on the other candidates and are not worried about them.

My gut feel is that they feel Biden poses the biggest threat in the swing states... If they can get Sanders or Warren as the candidate I suspect they feel much more confident ... That said I could see pete being out of the race by super tuesday and I genuinely struggle to see Bloomberg being able to get the majority of delegates and I struggle to envisage a former Republican mayor winning a brokered convention... perhaps Clinton trump 2 could be the outcome?
