If he was that desperate to testify he wouldn’t have ignored the house subpoena. Unless he just wants cover amongst Republicans by being able to claim he didn’t have any choice because a court made him.

He wants to testify publicly, that's his angle. He wants the cameras and all the attention while he buries his grudge.

Think this article does a good job summarizing what Bolton's true intentions are: https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/07/politics/john-bolton-impeachment-inquiry/index.html

In short, Bolton wants to stay relevant in Republican politics so won't do anything that would jeopardize that. Maybe he's trying to get some political favor from Trump by threatening to testify.

Don't think that the Dems will wait for this guy to play his games and will just move forward. Wonder if the Senate will try to bring him in at a later stage to muddy the waters (if Bolton gets what he wants politically from them).

To no one's surprise.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former national security adviser John Bolton has a book deal, The Associated Press has learned.

The hawkish Bolton departed in September because of numerous foreign policy disagreements with President Donald Trump. He reached a deal over the past few weeks with Simon & Schuster, according to three publishing officials with knowledge of negotiations. The officials were not authorized to discuss the deal publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Two of the officials said the deal was worth about $2 million. Bolton was represented by the Javelin literary agency, whose clients include former FBI Director James Comey and the anonymous Trump administration official whose book, “A Warning,” comes out Nov. 19.

Nice to see the approach they’re taking. They’re an organised crime syndicate and are being treated as such.

its crazy reading the libs in the replies who want to sell more weapons to ukraine to own trump. its purely reactionary.

Why? I'm liberal and I have no problem at all with selling (I'd prefer just giving) weapons to friendly states engaged in defensive wars against our enemies.

How was that allowed to air..
It didn't air on Fox per se, it was a segment on their paid online subscription service Fox Nation. Clips like this help create the illusion of balance and them going viral provide Fox News cover from idea that they're nowt but a propaganda arm for the Republican party. It's quite clever really because casual observers will see this as progress and assume Fox's position on Trump may be softening while their core demographic largely remains insulated.

Everyone ready for this? 2 Hours to go

Thanks, wasn't aware of that little detail!

George Conway is involved in the live Impeachment hearing according to MSNBC (via Kyle Griffin).

His role will be super interesting as it will hopefully give us a bit of a clue into whether he's really anti-Trump or whether he's in on the whole thing and providing Kelly some cover.
