I picked up on that at the time of the pick and in the OP, its mentioned WC Finals and Euros (no limitation as far as I could see). So didn't point out. Also, liked where we were going.

I checked that too thus asked Tuppet but could distinctly remember the question was asked. See above.
 
Without the Euros, Dahl didn't have any obvious connections to pick from what I saw. So much collateral damage
 
Updated the OP, sorry for the confusion guys, wrongly assumed finals of the tournaments would be obvious and should have updated the OP when Diarm asked the question.

Its arbitrary tbh, just decided to use some tournaments and not others. Its too late for this discussion anyway, people have made the choices based on the rule.
