Dippers to top the league by New Year?

Klopp has had 6 games in the league and taken 11 out of 18 points, we've taken 12 out of 18 from our last 6.
It's not the points that bother me, it's the style of play. We have better players in most departments than them. Klopp would have had them purring along like a Rolls Royce engine. We are getting points but sometimes it is just sheer good fortune. An OG against Spurs, an OG against Watford. Those games could easily have been 4 dropped points.

Worth pointing out that they did score with every shot they had on target, so that scoreline is a bit of a fluke.

Though maybe it's also worth noting that the same 100% success rate wouldn't benefit us near as much given we struggle to even get shots on target

With a squad assembled by Brendan Rodgers' idiocy. You'd think after 18 months in charge, we should doing a bit better than edging out a shite Liverpool squad by a single point (over 6 games) under new management?

Wayne can't even get passes on target nevermind shots.

It's inevitable now - the 26 years we've been waiting for them to pass after all the shit they gave us, and they win it themselves right at the death of passing that. Add in another win the following season after Klopp has had a summer to strengthen to equal our record, then maybe a sugar-daddy win in the following season, and then they can race past us entirely the following season, with the real treble coming in a few seasons after that. It's inevitable, and cannot be changed :( Is white text needed?

Or things will go tits up like his last season at Dortmund..

Or they'll go amazingly well like his other seasons at Dortmund. Who knows? Early signs are positive for Liverpool fans though.

I'm pretty sure they won't mind that happening in his 7th season, after he's wrapped up a few league titles and cups playing infinitely better football than we will ever do under LVG.

they've already played city, united, arsenal , everton, chelsea away....so massive advantage that is to them.

Annoying really, Klopp is a brilliant manager and surely their luck will change. I hope it isnt soon though.
Their main problem is dropping points at home. If they keep Sturridge fit, albeit unlikely, then they'll quickly shoot up the table.

They were a bit shit on Sunday, and got beat by palace, its Liverpool they are inconsistent

Thats fecking depressing.
It's a six game sample size, not massively significant when Liverpool are only fourth in the form table.

I don't think that was the case in his last league game and against Bordeaux...

We will see. Only handful of games have passed.

It works both ways, we could've easily taken six points from City & Newcastle - it's a result of the football we play.

Agree on the points, our position in the table means playstyle is the only justifable criticism that people have.

They don't have the players.

I imagine he will buy very smartly starting in January.

Klopp has encyclopaedic knowledge of upcoming players that most premier League clubs would be unaware of. I'm a huge fan of his recruitment strategy at Dortmund.

Not sure if any other manager in world football has that level of success in the transfer market.

Forget United for a moment but it's hilarious that City who were crowned champions in September itself aren't even being given a chance now in December.

The 12/13 Dortmund team that got to the CL-final was assembled with 40.6 million Euros.

I'm hoping he's just enjoying a honeymoon period.

I dunno, gaining a point over the BESTEST LIVERPOOL EVER KLOPPTASTIC team every 6 games sounds pretty good to me. Kind of strange to praise how fantastic this team is when they're losing ground on bang average United in the league really?

Probably no reason they couldnt. They need to win every game though and they need the teams ahead of them to not. Cant see it happening but its always possible.

They might lose to Leicester if anyone

They've had tougher fixtures though and Klopp's only just arrived. Plus we're supposed to be better than them.

They were flat against Swansea...and won with a dodgy penalty.
SCENARIO: Ibe gets the ball out of his feet and tries to whip in a cross from the front. Taylor jumps to block the cross and the ball hits his arm and defects away for a corner.

GALLAGHER'S VIEW: Correct decision

GALLAGHER SAYS: "I can't see how you can't give it. His arm is so far out and he's jumped up to the ball."

We are, that's why we are above them in the league and that they've only lost ground on us since he's arrived, is that not correct?

he wont stay fit...they'll need a striker.

What worries me is their uncanny ability to go on ridiculous runs...even last season after losing at O.T, they didnt lose a single game till we played them again. And that was under Rodgers.

They have as much a chance of winning the title as any of the other 3 contendors imo. No team in this league stands out.

City have the best squad, but are their own worst enemies at times. Arsenal have a great attack, but a lack of depth in key positions could cost them. Spurs are in form, but how long can they go on? And our own issues have been well documented.

Pool have a brilliant manager, not the greatest players , but the majority of them have some experience of a title run it, so that counts for them. Think of us after Anfield 92, you are better prepared the next time.
