Not really. We still only have two fullbacks. Both of them are the first team fullbacks. And Maz is new. Give him a couple of years people will turn on him as well. We’ve already upgraded on him when we signed Maz.
It's just an unnecessary tackle. If a player, especially a player in this Ars team, is given the opportunity to make a meal of something they will and the fact is he's gone for a full stretch sliding tackle and his studs on his right foot are showing. Its interesting that the opposition fans, including an Arsenal fan, messaged me during the game saying that it was never a yellow and the ref is awful, yet on here, everyone is convinced it’s all on Dalot.
I get he does frustrate a lot of us at times, and it was unnecessary- but he pulled out of the tackle and unlikely to be a second yellow under most refs.
I’m not sure this is entirely down to Dalot being supposedly better than Maz; Amorim has mentioned that we are essentially defending with 4 currently (Dalot usually pushing forward and Maz staying back on the right). Today, I think Maz was instructed to hang back on the left and Amad pushed forward on the right. We missed him tonight. Keeps width and offers an actual outlet on the wing. I hope the left foot crosses become a more regular occurrence though
Could be yeah, fair enough. Felt like Dalot provided more width than Amad though, at least until the latter decided to turn into Dani AlvesI’m not sure this is entirely down to Dalot being supposedly better than Maz; Amorim has mentioned that we are essentially defending with 4 currently (Dalot usually pushing forward and Maz staying back on the right). Could be wrong though.
I think, it isn't just the width, isn't it? I mean, the idea of a wingback is that he is working the wide areas so opposition have to deal with him, thats were Dalot falls short, he maybe in the wider areas, but he isn't really making stuff happen. Dalot is great athlete though and in this United team, this makes him a very valuable player... Don't think, he would have made a lot of difference todayCould be yeah, fair enough. one of our better players today, not sure why some here think otherwise.

in the first minute he had a total brain fart gifting the ball to opponent for a dangerous counter.
it sets the tune of the whole game
Because they live to post hatred towards him
Anyone who sees that performance from United and thinks Dalot was the problem isnt much of a fan. He at least showed up and tried to aid the team going forward and was one of our better defenders today as well.
Because unlike most, he does actually bust a gut in defence and attack. It’s really not his fault that he’s being asked to play on the wrong side, you can see every time he goes through that he doesn’t trust his left foot.At the end of every attack because no other player makes runs in behind. It doesn't take a genius to see it.
Sure he is wasteful, especially on the left, but a better questions is why is he the only one with the understanding of how to find space for himself and the only willing runner?
I've never seen somebody who is so mediocre on the ball in an attacking sense get the ball so often, especially in attacking positions.
Well the Group that praises him is also not too diverse... Just accept that this place has different fans that have different standpoints. You have your bias's other people have theirs.True enough, same posters who shit Dalot as well.
And having the physicality to keep making those runs. Our fans can’t have it both ways — you can’t bemoan the physical floor of the team and then be disappointed with the guy in the side who is probably the one who carries out most sprints and gets up and down the pitch the mostThats due to making good runs to be in a position to get the ball in attack. We need more players doing this

I think, he was ok today. Maybe even one of the better players but thats not much given that the average was 5.0 for most players.
I didn't mean today but in general. And as said in my last post, I'd tend to agree with your take, I thought he was better than average today while most of his team mates were a bit below average.So... Who is particularly praising him?
Its been pointed out that while he wasnt great going forward he at least tried to join the attack and do something, which was lacking in general from the team and certainly from our RWB on the other side. And he also defended quite well on the couple of occasions he needed to do that, while once agian the other WB was awful with that and some of the 3 CBs werent particularly good at it either.
He absolutely destroyed every attack he got involved by being his usual stupid self. He was definitely part of the problem.Because they live to post hatred towards him

I'd like to see him out. along with most of them he's just another example of our desire for mediocrity. yea he does his best, so what. I'm so fed up with him and the defence of him and othersI’d like to see him have a consistent run of games at RWB.
