He’s 25 and will be 26 by the end of the season, and has done nothing to show he’s a good enough. There’s always been talk of his potential, then his great attributes, but ultimately he’s a very unintelligent player, who makes poor decisions and is prone to completely switching off at crucial moments. I just can’t see him ever getting his act together enough to warrant a place in the team, because he is so fundamentally flawed upstairs.

He's clearly a player who works on himself a lot and trains hard, that's why we've seen improvement from him last season, and why he's trusted by ETH.

But that doesn't make him a top players. He'd be a very good players for any midtable team, but he isn't consistent enough to where we want to be. The brain isn't there.

We have had a lot of players like him. Turns in a very good performance now and then, but also rubbish a lot of the time, and overall does just about enough to convince everyone he's OK and lower down on the list of issues, so we end up keeping him forever because there are always a few other players people want to replace first.

I'm dreadful form and needs dropping but we've got an idiot manager who for some reason has no back up full backs.

And we got idiot fans who don’t realise both left backs are injured so needs to play 1 RB at LB

He has been so weak this season, but at least he is one of our few players, who (almost) never gets injured. I always liked AWB more.

One of our injured players has been out nearly 18 months!

The other is barely ever fit!!

He's left us with zero cover, he's an idiot of a manager and if you can't agree on that fact then that says a lot.

Should have scored when he went through and if he did may have been man of the match. 2 key passes joint 2nd for the team after Bruno, with Garnacho, and Casemiro. More key passes than Eriksen...

Defensively he was fine until Summerville came on, he was great down their left with 3 key passes in 45 mins himself and 3 dribbles. To be fair to Dalot he looked the most dangerous player on the pitch so a hard task for anyone. Dalot reacted slowly and Summerville got his goal

Correction: very idiotic fans.

You think we should write off Shaw? It's a bit of a tough situation and on paper we had two good options for each position with Malacia as an unknown.

I like Dalot but he's been overplayed. He needs to be dropped but unfortunately that's not possible at the moment.

This was mentioned as a reason for his poor spell last season as well. He’s a player that needs some time on the sidelines because games are really escaping him at the moment. He needs a reminder that his position in the starting 11 isn’t a given
Unfortunately we need bodies. and for some reason Dalot retains the faith of managers even he warrants being dropped

world class high 5er absolutely bang average mid table quality. felt this way for a long time and he's a beneficiary of our ever increasing mediocrity hunt. not in a million years a title chasing full back in any of the top leagues. must be upgraded

Amount of shite uttered about him being the "most improved player" for the last couple seasons boils my blood.

He's so mediocre and awful in attack it's not funny.

He went from utter crap to playable. Even last season when he was supposedly at his best he was still prone to having a major feck up every game, he’s just lucky that other people (Onana/Maguire) were getting scapegoated instead of him.

He was second to Onana in terms of crashing us out of he Champions League with his errors, the Galatasaray game where Zaha ruined him was enough for me.

He is an excellent RB, but he's been gash this season, and the misses are terrible, he should be to score these chances.

we can blame Ten Hag all we want and it is all valid, but our players, even the ones who were good last season , like this fella, are terrible this season and that's on the players.

He's got a game changing error in him for almost every game he's played this season, for our weak minded players I see their heads go down after his brain farts. Add him to Rashfords absolute refusal to get stuck in on defensive duties we have a highway to heaven for our opponents.

This guy is so overrated by many of our fans and pundits. He was diabolical at defending as a youngster, so bad that I'm surprised he wasn't sold years ago. He has improved to the point where he now isn't always awful, but you can guarantee he'll have at least one brainfart a game, whilst his attacking play is nowhere near as good as some think it is. Would much prefer if he was the backup RB to Mazraoui and we had a fit LB.

It was a very bad miss. But positives are he keeps making those well timed runs like he did last game as well. His first touch is usually excellent too which allows him to set up the chances. No one in the team is clinical atm.
It's not a positive that Dalot finds himself on the end of these chances. We're never gonna get somewhere if our best chances fall to Dalot and/or Garnacho

I'm not sure if people are joking or not(hard to be sure of anything on this forum these days) but if he missed that chance on purpose just because it will get the manager sacked then he should not play for this team again and booted out in January window.

I really hope he didn't miss it on purpose as that's even worse than what I have imagined yesterday.

Think he's just overplayed and has reached his physical and psychological limits.

He should rest a bit, get fresher legs and brain, but unfortunately he can't.

Maybe if the two ghost on the left can reappear one day, he could be benched for a few games

The alternative is no one else making that run and being an outlet, making us even more predictable.

of course he didnt

Having a shocker of a season after being very good last season sadly. He's lucky we have no other fit fullbacks.

He has been overplayed though and is probably physically and mentally shot. Abject failure of recruitment not to bring in a new LB.
