I know, you'd think some people don't actually want to know the truth. :wenger:

These lads can argue there way out of anything though, wouldn't stop for a second to think, "hmm...Sir Alex says he's not worth 25 million, he implies he would settle for less, the manchester Website says he was offered 25 million, hold up, this doesn't add up"

So Ferguson says he wasn't worth £25m but doesn't categorically state that we didn't make a bid of that amount.

The club officially announces that it did meet the asking price.

See the difference, one is implication and one is an actual claim. Just like me though neither of you know what really happened but you've chosen to side with Tevez and me United. Each to their own.

 you really are a Child if you think this is how the world works, I'm done with this. How many times have we been lied to by Mr Debt is the road to ruin, he's a bloody businessman, don't look at the website and just say ...ok...fair enough, look at the fecking quotes from Sir Alex himself!

More likely is that the 25m wasn't made available to him after spending 30m on the Bulgarian sulk and the official website spin was posted to appease the fans.

I'm out too, can't argue with someone who best counter argument is "I side with United"... lemming.

Childish, very childish... verging on embarrassing.

I'm not siding with anyone, do you not think it's confusing for SAF to offer 25m for someone he says isn't worth 25m?

Yeah I'm childish, it's true though and I didn't have a go at it for you, I've sided with Ferguson against the club and players against the club, this time I'm not going to.

Not really, we overpay for players all the time.

wow did you get the child insult from sharky? Has Ferguson never lied before then? Tevez? MSI? The point i'm trying to get across is none of us know the real details of what happened.

Anyways that berbatov, he's world class isn't he?

I don't believe Tevez or MSI Ivor, you've got me wrong there. I simply believe that SAF wouldn't offer 25m for a player who he declares isn't worth 25m... not that strange really is it?

A player who has talked trash about him, left us, joined our city rivals who were lauding it over us 2 days earlier by putting up posters welcoming him to manchester. Could have been a bit of sour grapes on his part or early mind games, not saying you're wrong but there are other ways of looking at it.

Ah, thanks for diverting, it atleast indicates to me you're considering that 25 million was never actually offered.

I'm afraid that post has gone over a few people's heads. Not your fault though. It can be difficult debating with numb-skulls.

Bringing the thread back to Berbatov. Here's an analogy which might explain the £25m conundrum to the cheap seats. Does anyone think SAF thought Berbatov was worth £30m? Or is possible, maybe, that he was eventually forced into making an offer that was more than he felt the player was worth, because it was the only way he could bring him to the club?

Take a moment. Think about this.

I know it feels weird, thinking, but bear with me.

Now, apply the same logic to the Tevez not being worth £25m stuff and the penny might finally drop...

Let's not stray from the topic of Dimi's sulky laziness and lack of effort though, lads.......

Sir Alex didn't think Berba was worth 30 Million, so if he shafted then why would he make the same mistake with Tevez who he clearly doesn't think is worth 25 mil. The quotes from Sir Alex himself imply that he would have settled for less but as much as we may have loved him he's not paying 25 million. It's literally spelled out for you. Just like he didn't pay for Benzema because he didn't think he's worth the asking price. He's been fecked in the market by Spurs, why would he pay over the odds again in such quick succession?!?! For who?!!? Because it's not for him.

You need to read the entire quote again Pogue, that way Fergie says "we were happy to a deal but on the right terms". Obviously if 25m was more than his worth then the terms were wrong.

Not exactly rocket science eh Pogue.

Let's forget Tevez, good player but just spoke at the wrong time. I'm more worried about the Macheda's Owen's and Diouf's and lets not forget are new Mexican Chicharito.

Berbs on the other hand, is a long way from pleasing a lot of our fans... We expect him to be the New Cantona ? He clearly isn't, he is not world class like Rooney either, was he worth 30m ? I'd say 23 at most but Citeh.. came in and their was no denying that we had to overpay...

I just don't see the light with Berbatov, I mean I really supported him at the start cause I have a few Bulgarian friends and we both liked Berbs, but you can clearly see that he doesn't blend in our pacey line up and he just doesn't look happy on the pitch.

These lads are so good at arguing, you can't win but I know deep down understand this view.

I've read the quote, thanks.

What makes you think those terms he referred to had anything to do with the fee we offered just before the end of the transfer window?

Most likely he's explaining why we negotiated so long and so hard to try to get the fee down, as opposed to closing the deal several months before the end of the season (which was always an option) That's the beef most fans had with how it was all handled and that's the issue he was addressing.

What a condescending obnoxious cnut you are. I'm sure you feel great about belittling other United fans on the internet. Well done.

Why should I be added exactly?.

For a grown man you're pathetic.

See the edit to my previous post. You started a whole thread to name people you thought were "stupid". Condescending I may be but I've never stooped that low.

So, I dunno if you're an idiot or not but you're definitely a hypocrite. Or a cnut. Either will do really. I'd say both hats probably fit...

 I'm not a regular in the united forums but I'm beginning to see your point.

Ah, thanks for diverting, it atleast indicates to me you're considering that 25 million was never actually offered.

Ah thanks for making stuff up from what I say to help your agenda, indicates to me you've done the same with the ferguson quotes.

Either will do for what exactly?

I can't see that, we can't all be mods:rolleyes:

Here's your brilliant idea for a thread in the newbies (with the first couple of posts included)

Which newbies are stupid?

Well?

I'll get the ball rolling, this is just my opinion by the way:

-Ilovefletcher
-MickeyOwenIsRed
-RDCR07

I might add more

what condtions or facts take a person to a stupid category for you?

I need to know this as I wouldnt be able to post. but Ilovefletcher is certainly one of the best poster here (in the newbies). I do not agreed with him in most cases but he can put his thoughts in an organized way. Wouldnt be surprised if I am not the only one who think in this way.

Conditions or facts  this is'nt a fecking science project.

Just who you don't consider intelligent.

Simple.

After your little rant about condescending to fellow United fans I'd say that makes you a hypocrite. Are you a cnut though? Meh. Probably.

You're definitely fond of this smiley though, aren't you?
