His first half was more than decent. He was central to our best moves. But for Valencia having a pop straight at the keeper, he'd have wonderfully forced a match winning chance for us.

He's central to our best moves because he comes into midfield, with nobody to mark him, and has 20 yards of space at all times. He is a striker who has been playing as deep as Paul Scholes. We don't need him in midfield, we need him up front! That's my gripe.

That's analogous to wanting Vida to be more skillful on the ball, like Rio. No, that's not his role and not his strength. Play him to his strengths and he does well, even if he doesn't have the best partner up front, like in the first half.

No slight on Macheda, young and learnin'.

We took off our only striker. There is nobody in the box most of the time, and Berbatov is still playing in central midfield.

There's a thread about him too isn't there? Or did you miss that one?

Oh... my... fecking... god... Are you an idiot?

You point out he's easily our worst performer... I said Carrick is clearly a candidate, even a better one, to my mind. If I'm off topic then you are too, you fecking retard.

I'm sorry, but this sort of blatant logical feck-up is just unforgivable.

Berbatov you feckin twat.

Played the entire game as a feckin midfielder. Moaned and looked lifeless throughout the game. Didn't look like he wanted to play at all. Ambled about. Played 1 decent ball through and that was about it.

feckin shite. Get rid of the twat. I've had enough.

I can't see how we can possibly start next season with this player in our squad. He can't play on his own in a 4-3-3, he can't play against good sides, he can't play properly in a 4-4-2, he can't play against poor sides. What is the fecking point?

The one positive that will come from this game I hope is that Dimitar Berbatov will never play for Manchester United Football Club again. Useless fecking piece of lazy shit.

Yes, and we can infer things from that. We could also have a pop at Ferguson saying why does he continually instruct Berbatov to play in this role, or allow him to? Or does he constantly ignore Ferguson and yet make the team?

I find it hard to believe the latter is the case.

He's got to go he really does. We never even looked like scoring.

Now you're just making yourself look like a cnut.

Berbatov is a big mistake. Is not a United player.

End of story. The sooner you get to grips with that, the better.

You mean the one in which you've just had another go at Berbatov in you hypocritical twonk?

cheers, hadn't spotted that...

feck me, some people'll just grab on to any fecking argument, irregardless of how it goes with what they've previously stated...

Before this thread explodes, I'd like to point out that he was our best player on the pitch today.

Carry on though, everyone needs a scapegoat.

He played well in the first half, his second half was gash but those sticking the boot in during the first half need to take a good look at themselves, turn your eye balls around an all, you can't even wait till the game is over? Y'all wouldn't even celebrated if he scored

You ...you...poop mouths

There was something really off about his second half performance. I've always thought he'd be here next season but his attitude in that second half makes me wonder.

Seems to happen quite a bit when the team performs badly but Berbatov comes out according to some playing well. Sort of like the kryptonite to our midfield is Berba.

Berbatov is fecking horrible and I hope we sell him asap.

I'd love for my emotions towards him to be knee-jerked but they are'nt.

To have good technique and a couple of decent flicks in midfield doesn't do, he's fecking slow as a cow and can't score to save his life, feck off. I'd take £8m for him

Are there any Berba defenders still left?

£30 fecking million. Look at Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez.. their is grade A class.

Berbatov has had his chance to make an impact, he just isn't good enough. Fergie made a mistake... hell a lot of us made a mistake... I thought he would do a good job here.

He spent the second half moaning, very Ronaldo-esque performance by him but only in moaning and not in quality.

Not a striker as far as i'm concerned. Lovely player at times, but not a goalscorer. Not a match winner. Never has been since we dumped 30 million on him. Shame. But he's just not right for us.

I thought he was decent today. The only one that tried to make something happen as opposed to just playing it to the wide men and hoping.

And for all the people that constantly go on about how he never gets in the box, he had our only shots on target in the second half. From the box.
